Speaking at the Conference, Secretary of Thai Nguyen Province Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong emphasized: On the foundation of a close historical, geographical and cultural relationship formed and cultivated over many stages, the meeting, exchange and signing of cooperation among the 3 provinces of Thai Nguyen - Bac Ninh - Phu Tho is organized right after the success of the 14^th National Party Congress, in the first month of the first year implementing the Resolution of Party Congresses at all levels. This is clear evidence of the high political determination of the 3 localities in concretizing the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14^th Party Congress and the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congresses. He expressed hope that the cooperation and linkage among Thai Nguyen - Bac Ninh - Phu Tho will maximize the unique potentials and advantages of each locality, forming a "triangle linkage" for sustainable development, opening up a large development space, welcoming new opportunities, creating motivation and strong breakthroughs for the entire region.

Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho and Bac Ninh are all located along the Ring Road No. 5 of Hanoi Capital Region, serving as gateways connecting the northern midland and mountainous provinces with Hanoi Capital and the Red River Delta. At the same time, they lie along three important economic corridors: Beijing – Nanning – Hanoi; Hanoi – Thai Nguyen – Cao Bang and Hanoi – Lao Cai – Yunnan, possessing great potential for industrial and logistics development. These are all localities with relatively developed economies, particularly in modern-oriented industrial development. In recent years, functional sectors of the three provinces have effectively coordinated in many fields, including: Provincial planning preparation; investment in upgrading and developing inter-provincial transport connectivity; development of key agricultural products; linkage in building tourism tours and routes; and cooperation in irrigation exploitation and flood prevention and control.

In order to continue effectively harnessing resources, potentials and strengths of each locality, delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying opportunities for inter-regional cooperation in a comprehensive, substantive and long-term manner. Identifying transport infrastructure as the top priority, delegates proposed strengthening coordination in implementing strategic transport infrastructure projects, with a focus on Ring Road No. 5 of Hanoi Capital Region; routes enhancing connectivity with Hanoi – Lang Son, Hanoi – Thai Nguyen and Hanoi – Lao Cai expressways; accelerating the progress of ongoing connectivity projects to soon form an interconnected network; and continuing to review, supplement and invest in completing expressways, national highways, provincial roads, railways and connections to industrial parks, logistics centers and tourist areas in accordance with the approved planning.

In the field of industry and logistics, delegates agreed on the orientation to form an inter-regional industrial belt of Phu Tho – Thai Nguyen – Bac Ninh and to strengthen coordination in investment promotion and attraction, especially foreign direct investment in electronics, information technology, high-tech processing and manufacturing, smart production and green, environmentally friendly industries.

In agriculture, based on the potentials and advantages of each locality, the three provinces agreed to promote cooperation in building inter-provincial value chains, attracting enterprises to participate in linked chains of production – processing – consumption, thereby gradually enhancing added value and competitiveness of agricultural products. In addition, delegates proposed expanding cooperation in tourism development; irrigation exploitation and flood prevention and control of the Cau River; and training and supply of human resources.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Pham Dai Duong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of Phu Tho Province Party Committee, emphasized: To cooperate effectively, the 3 provinces need to clearly identify the region's position in the overall general development with neighboring localities; based on similarities in economy, society and culture, need to clarify the unique strengths of each locality, thereby forming a regional brand with products that are both unified and diverse. Implementation organization work must ensure “clear person, clear job, clear goal, clear result, clear time”, aiming to successfully complete the double-digit growth targets of the localities.

Comrade Nguyen Hong Thai, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee, agreed with the contents delegates discussed and proposed regarding cooperation among the 3 provinces in the coming time. He suggested that the cooperation implementation process needs to be carried out in the spirit of comprehensively expanding fields; regularly evaluating and reviewing cooperation results; based on agreed strategic axes to promote diversification of bilateral and multilateral cooperation activities. He committed that the Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committee will immediately deploy signed cooperation contents in 2026, especially inter-regional transport infrastructure connection projects.
