Food City is a major agricultural and food trade center in the Russian Federation and a distribution hub for a wide range of agricultural and food products from Russia and many countries around the world, including Vietnam. The center serves wholesale and retail customers as well as businesses in the restaurant and hotel sectors, and has a supply network comprising domestic and foreign producers.

At Food City, the delegation from Thai Nguyen Province met and exchanged views with representatives of several Vietnamese businesses engaged in the trading and distribution of agricultural and food products in the Russian market. The parties discussed market demand and opportunities to facilitate the distribution and sale of agricultural and food products from Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen in particular through the Food City system, focusing on products with high quality, competitive advantages and export potential.

Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Nguyen Dang Binh highly appreciated the scale, organization and distribution system of Food City, emphasizing that this is an important market-access channel that opens opportunities for Thai Nguyen's key agricultural products to gain deeper access to the Russian Federation market. He noted that tea is one of Thai Nguyen's distinctive, well-branded and valuable agricultural products. The province's tea products are widely known among domestic consumers and are gradually expanding into international markets. He expressed the hope that Thai Nguyen tea products would soon be connected to and included in the Food City distribution system, thereby creating more opportunities for Russian consumers to access and experience tea products bearing the Thai Nguyen brand. The Province stands ready to coordinate and connect tea-producing and processing businesses and cooperatives with Russian partners, gradually establishing a linked chain from production and processing to distribution and consumption.
