In the autumn of 1945, Thai Nguyen joined the surging revolutionary movement and became one of the first localities in the country to seize power. During the resistance wars, this land continued to hold a special position in the Viet Bac resistance base, where the Party Central Committee, the Government, and President Ho Chi Minh made many important decisions. Eighty-one years after that historic autumn, the tradition lives on through aspirations for development, new projects, and innovative and creative thinking aimed at building an increasingly prosperous Thai Nguyen.

From its specialty tea-growing areas and abundant mineral resources to its electronics industry base and emerging technology ecosystem, Thai Nguyen has an opportunity to transform existing strengths into high-value-added strategic technology products. In implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, the province has identified science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as drivers for leveraging its competitive industries, creating new value chains, and fostering rapid and sustainable socio-economic growth and development in the new period.

As demand for safe food continues to grow and human health and environmental protection become core priorities, organic agriculture is emerging as an important direction for modern farming. With favorable soil and climatic conditions and a strong agricultural tradition, Thai Nguyen has gradually established organic growing areas. The establishment of Thai Nguyen Organic Agriculture Association in 2026 marked a new stage of development, creating a focal point for connecting resources, advancing science and technology, building value chains and enhancing the standing of the province's organic agricultural products.

Thai Nguyen is poised to seize major opportunities to expand its development space, strengthen regional connectivity, and enhance competitiveness. To realize these goals, the province is mobilizing resources to invest in infrastructure, particularly transport infrastructure. Alongside projects already completed and put into operation, a series of key transport projects are being implemented or prepared for investment, laying the groundwork for sustained long-term growth.

Building on its advantage as a tea-growing region renowned nationwide, Thai Nguyen’s tea industry is entering a new stage of development, in which deep processing has been identified as the breakthrough factor for adding value and enhancing competitiveness. Following the direction set out in Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU, enterprises, cooperatives, and tea growers are steadily rethinking their approach to production, investing in technology, diversifying products, expanding consumption markets, and developing the "Thai Nguyen Tea" brand in a modern and sustainable direction.

Leveraging its advantage as a tea-growing region renowned nationwide, Thai Nguyen's tea industry is entering a new stage of development, in which deep processing has been identified as the breakthrough step to increase value and improve competitiveness. In line with the direction set by Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU, businesses, cooperatives and tea growers are gradually renewing their production thinking, investing in technology, diversifying products, expanding consumer markets, and developing the "Thai Nguyen Tea" brand in a modern and sustainable direction.

In order to create a driving force for tourism development in a professional and sustainable direction, the 15th Thai Nguyen Province People's Council, at its Sixth Session, adopted a Resolution setting out multiple policies to support tourism development in the province for the 2026 - 2030 period, focusing on investment capital, infrastructure, the environment, human resources, and promotion and marketing.

On the morning of July 23, Comrade Nguyen Thi Loan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to review the progress of implementing Plan No. 312/KH-UBND dated July 11, 2026 of the Provincial People's Committee on organizing the 2026 Thai Nguyen International Tea Festival. Also attending the meeting were leaders of relevant departments, boards, sectors, units, and localities.

On June 18, 2026, at Thai Nguyen Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, a Meeting to assign tasks to the Thai Nguyen T&T women's football team was held ahead of its participation in the 2026 National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup.

On the morning of June 18, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance held a training session on a Livestream Marketplace connecting trade promotion and the sale of cooperative (co-op) products, with the participation of 20 trainees who are board members, directors, and business officials of cooperatives across the province.

On June 17, the Tourism Development and Promotion Center (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) held a training course on building communication channels to promote and develop Thai Nguyen tourism on digital platforms, with the participation of nearly 100 trainees from organizations and individuals providing tourism services in communes and wards in the southern region of the province.
