According to a report by the Department of Science and Technology, the province's Data Center has so far integrated 54 databases, of which 29 are automatically connected via API, while the rest are supplied with data through files. The Department is currently rolling out 10 operational scenarios based on core data in the fields of socio-economic affairs, health, education, agriculture and the environment, and public services, as well as monitoring of Central Party resolutions… At the same time, it is actively reviewing and cross-checking data integrated into the data repository, gradually consolidating, analyzing, and displaying it according to the scenarios developed. The Department has also coordinated with agencies and units to organize two rounds of surveys on the status of databases, assessing readiness for data connection and sharing as well as demand for applying artificial intelligence (AI), providing a basis for developing an implementation plan for the coming period.

However, data connection and utilization at the Data Center and the IOC still face some difficulties, as many specialized systems are not yet ready to connect, data in some fields is not yet updated in real time, and data-sharing procedures remain complicated.

Regarding the Thai Nguyen Province Digital Transformation Project, approved in June 2026, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology said that detailed design and cost estimates would be completed before July 20, with the aim of signing contracts and launching bidding packages in September 2026.

At the meeting, representatives of departments, boards, and sectors reported on the progress of task implementation, clarified difficulties and obstacles, and proposed solutions to accelerate data connection, sharing, and utilization.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan required departments, sectors, and units to continue reviewing, improving, and accelerating the connection and sharing of data between systems, to strengthen coordination in resolving difficulties and obstacles during implementation, and to ensure that data is updated fully, accurately, and promptly, effectively serving leadership and administration and promoting the province's digital transformation.
