Comrade Ha Thi Bich Hong, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reports on the draft Plan for Implementing the Growth Scenario for Thai Nguyen Province's Cultural Industries for the 2026-2030 period

Assessments indicate that in recent years, cultural industries in the province have gradually expanded in scale and diversity, initially contributing to economic growth, job creation, improvements in the cultural and spiritual life of the People, and promotion of the local image. However, the sector still faces limitations, including small-scale enterprises; limited capacity for creativity, production, and product commercialization; uneven development across industries; and high-quality human resources and investment-attraction mechanisms that do not fully meet development requirements.

Delegates from the Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations providing feedback on growth scenario options

Based on assessments of the current situation, potential, advantages, resource mobilization capacity, and development requirements for the 2026-2030 period, the province has developed three growth scenarios: high, baseline, and low.

At the meeting, delegates focused on analyzing and evaluating factors affecting the growth potential of cultural industries and considered the option of selecting the baseline scenario for implementation. This is considered a feasible option, suitable for actual conditions, and demonstrates the determination to increase cultural industries' share of the province's GRDP.

Delivering directive remarks, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that in addition to industrial development, the province focuses on developing cultural sectors, gradually making culture a new growth driver and contributing to improvements in the material and spiritual life of the People. He directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to fully incorporate feedback from departments, boards, sectors, and localities and finalize the Plan by reviewing and supplementing it as necessary and assigning specific responsibilities to each agency and unit, ensuring harmony and coordinated action across sectors. In particular, the Plan should specify the contribution of each industry and sector and clarify objectives, tasks, and implementation measures, with clear responsibility holders, tasks, timelines, accountability, and expected results. The statistics agency is to work closely to develop a system of indicators and evaluation methods and quantify cultural industries' contribution to the province's economic growth.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the province's goal is to develop cultural industries into an important economic sector, actively contributing to growth and sustainable development; effectively harness cultural values, people, and heritage; promote innovation and digital transformation; and develop cultural products and services with a distinct identity, quality, and competitiveness.
