Thuong Dinh Industrial Park opens up new opportunities for industrial development in Thai Nguyen
The recently launched Thuong Dinh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project is expected to expand Thai Nguyen's industrial development space, attract technology-intensive and high-value-added projects, strengthen supply-chain linkages, and create jobs. Proactive implementation by the developer, support from departments, sectors, and local authorities, and close provincial oversight are laying the foundation for the project to develop into an integrated, green, and modern industrial park.

Advantages of strategic location and integrated infrastructure
Thai Nguyen's development strategy identifies industry as a continuing pillar of the provincial economy while gradually shifting from broad-based investment attraction toward a stronger emphasis on quality, technology, added value, and production-chain linkages. In line with Scheme No. 12-DA/TU dated December 10, 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on industrial development orientations for the 2026-2030 period, the province aims to develop a green and modern industrial sector with greater competitiveness and added value. The establishment of new industrial parks with integrated infrastructure, convenient locations, and professional support services is therefore especially important. The Thuong Dinh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project is expected to add a new link to the province's expanding industrial landscape.
The project covers 128.18 hectares and has total investment of more than VND 2,486 billion. It is being developed in Pho Yen and Bach Quang wards and Diem Thuy Commune by Stavian Thai Nguyen Industrial Park Development Company Limited, a member of Stavian Group. The project has a 50-year operating term, is scheduled for construction from 2026 to 2028, and is expected to begin marketing and handing over industrial sites in April 2027.
Rendering of Thuong Dinh Industrial Park
Thuong Dinh Industrial Park benefits from strong connectivity along a convenient transportation corridor. Its main entrance links to the Hanoi-Thai Nguyen Expressway, while its secondary entrance connects to National Highway 37. From this location, businesses can readily access Hanoi, Thai Nguyen's industrial centers, the northern economic region, Noi Bai International Airport, Hai Phong Port, and trade routes to the northern border. This strategic location is complemented by comprehensively developed technical infrastructure. The project is expected to include a 35 MVA power supply system, water supply capacity of 4,500 m³ per day, wastewater treatment capacity of 3,000 m³ per day, as well as fire prevention and firefighting systems, telecommunications, and production infrastructure. These are essential conditions for attracting investment and supporting stable, long-term business operations.
Thuong Dinh Industrial Park is designed to attract supporting-industry projects, electrical and electronics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, automotive and motorcycle components, technical support services, and logistics. Priority will be given to high-value-added fields aligned with the province's green and modern industrial development strategy. The project is expected to provide approximately 90 hectares of industrial land for sublease to accommodate factories, warehouses, and production and business operations, as well as ready-built factories, warehouses, and parking facilities.
Notably, the developer aims to provide more than industrial land and infrastructure by building a support-service system spanning the entire project life cycle. Services will range from investment consulting and legal services to design and construction, customs and logistics services, green-energy solutions, training, and workforce recruitment. This approach reflects a shift in industrial-park development from providing production premises to creating a production ecosystem in which infrastructure, services, human resources, logistics, and business linkages jointly shape competitiveness.
Business initiative backed by government support
Business resources are essential to the success of an industrial-park project, but they are not sufficient on their own. Implementation also depends on coordinated action by regulatory agencies and local authorities and on support from residents in the project area. In the Thuong Dinh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project, the developer demonstrated a proactive approach from the groundbreaking stage. Stavian Group views the project not simply as an infrastructure investment, but as part of its strategy to expand its industrial-infrastructure platform and strengthen business and supply-chain connections across the northern region.
Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stavian Group, commits to mobilizing resources and working closely with consultants, contractors, and partners to ensure quality, timely progress, safety, and legal compliance throughout project implementation
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Dinh Duc Thang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Stavian Group, affirmed that the group seeks not only to develop an industrial park with integrated infrastructure, but also to create an industrial ecosystem capable of supporting investors throughout project implementation and operation. The developer is committed to mobilizing resources and working closely with consultants, contractors, and partners to ensure quality, timely progress, safety, and legal compliance while balancing business efficiency, partner and community interests, and the locality's sustainable-development goals.
Government agencies and units in the area are ready to work with businesses to implement the project. Comrade Nguyen The Hoan, Head of the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks, affirmed that the board will uphold a strong sense of responsibility and proactively coordinate with, guide, and assist the developer in promptly resolving issues arising during implementation, ensuring that procedures are completed fully, quickly, transparently, and effectively.
Local authorities are also prepared to support businesses and lay the groundwork for developing the industrial park. Comrade Le Thanh Son, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Diem Thuy Commune People's Committee, said the locality would work closely with the developer to conduct effective public communication and mobilize the People to support compensation, site clearance, and resettlement; hand over land promptly for project implementation; maintain security and public order; and continue safeguarding residents' well-being.
Within Thai Nguyen's broader industrial-development landscape, Thuong Dinh Industrial Park is being implemented as the province accelerates the development of industrial parks and clusters, expands production space, and gradually improves infrastructure quality to attract investment. Under Scheme No. 12-DA/TU dated December 10, 2025 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, new industrial-park infrastructure projects must do more than expand the industrial land bank. They should also serve as destinations capable of selecting, attracting, and retaining high-quality investors; enable domestic businesses to participate more deeply in supply chains; and foster production, service, and logistics linkages within each area. Thuong Dinh Industrial Park is well positioned to support this process because of its convenient connectivity, relatively clear sectoral focus, and the investment-support service model established by the developer from the outset.
Thai Nguyen also benefits from a strong human-resource base, supported by a network of universities and vocational education institutions with an annual training capacity of more than 40,000 people. This resource will help new industrial parks address not only industrial-land requirements but also workforce needs, a key factor in the attractiveness and long-term viability of industrial projects. More broadly, when industrial parks are linked with transportation, logistics, workforce training, and supply chains, project effectiveness is measured not only by occupancy, but also by the number of businesses attracted, technology quality, production value, jobs created, budget contributions, and spillover benefits for the local economy.
Turning these advantages into tangible results ultimately depends on the pace and quality of project implementation, an issue to which Thai Nguyen Province gives particular attention in its work with investors. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the launch of the Thuong Dinh Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project demonstrates the business community's confidence in the province's investment and business environment. It also reflects Thai Nguyen's determination to work with, support, and create favorable conditions for investors implementing projects in the province.
The project is scheduled for construction from 2026 to 2028
With the groundbreaking ceremony complete, a new journey has officially begun. Considerable work remains, including site clearance, infrastructure development, secondary-investor attraction, and operational preparation. With proactive implementation by the developer, support from government agencies and local authorities, and close provincial oversight, however, Thuong Dinh Industrial Park is expected to become a key link in Thai Nguyen's modern, green, and highly connected industrial landscape, adding momentum to the goal of making industry a major driver of growth and sustainable development.
