Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasizes the province's position that businesses manufacturing and operating in Thai Nguyen Province should establish representative offices or branches in Thai Nguyen Province to facilitate expansion projects and strengthen their long-term ties with the locality

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan expressed his sincere appreciation to Samsung Group for its confidence in Thai Nguyen Province, its choice of the province as an investment destination, and its continued expansion of large-scale, groundbreaking projects. Samsung's presence and development in the province have made an important contribution to making Thai Nguyen Province one of Vietnam's most attractive destinations for foreign direct investment (FDI), while also contributing positively to socioeconomic growth, job creation, and the enhancement of the province's industrial production capacity. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly commended Korean enterprises in general and Samsung Vietnam-affiliated companies in particular for consistently fulfilling their obligations in accordance with regulations, including tax obligations, thereby contributing resources to local development.

Regarding Samsung's implementation of two major projects in Thai Nguyen Province, Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan requested that contractors working on Samsung's semiconductor and electro-mechanics projects promptly consider establishing branches or representative offices in Thai Nguyen Province. Establishing branches and representative offices in Thai Nguyen Province would not only facilitate project implementation but also demonstrate corporate responsibility and a commitment to the locality.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that, immediately after the meeting with Samsung Vietnam-affiliated companies, the province would continue working with businesses engaged in manufacturing and business activities in the province to guide them in establishing branches or representative offices or locating their headquarters in Thai Nguyen Province, thereby ensuring the full fulfillment of tax obligations and contributing resources to the local budget. He noted that the additional revenue would enable the province to continue investing in infrastructure development to meet the needs of expanded manufacturing and business activities, while creating favorable conditions for investors to operate stably, sustainably, and effectively in Thai Nguyen Province.

At the meeting, representatives of provincial departments and sectors and Samsung Vietnam-affiliated companies exchanged views on operational activities, investment, fulfillment of state budget obligations, the establishment of branches or representative offices, or the location of headquarters in Thai Nguyen Province, as well as businesses' proposals and recommendations. Provincial departments and sectors also provided information and discussed solutions to help businesses complete procedures for establishing branches and representative offices, and pledged to coordinate to address difficulties and obstacles and create favorable conditions for businesses to operate stably and effectively.

Representatives of Samsung Vietnam-affiliated companies expressed their appreciation for Thai Nguyen Province's partnership and effective support as Samsung expanded its investment, manufacturing, and business operations in the province, especially in implementing two major projects in recent times. Regarding the province's request to establish branches and representative offices in Thai Nguyen Province, the representatives considered it a legitimate request consistent with the expansion of their investment activities in the locality. The companies would take the request under advisement, report it internally, seek internal guidance, and coordinate closely with provincial departments and sectors to study and implement it in the coming period.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan tasked the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks, Thai Nguyen Provincial Tax Department, and customs authorities with coordinating, working directly with businesses, and providing them with specific guidance on the procedures for establishing branches and representative offices in Thai Nguyen Province. He requested relevant agencies and units to place these procedures in a “green lane”, proactively coordinate, shorten processing times, and provide the most favorable conditions for businesses to promptly complete the necessary procedures, thereby strengthening the businesses' presence and long-term ties with Thai Nguyen Province.
