According to the plan, in June 2026, Thai Nguyen expects to break ground on six social housing and rental housing projects with a total scale of nearly 6,000 apartments, including: social housing in the Cao Ngan Residential Area (1,960 units), social housing in the Cau Truc Urban Area (1,707 units), social housing in Urban Area No. 2, Bach Quang (351 units), the Van Xuan Social Housing Area in Van Xuan Ward (910 units), social housing for sale and lease in Phan Dinh Phung (530 units), and the Phan Dinh Phung 2 Rental and Social Housing Area (522 units).

Investors reporting on the implementation progress of the social housing projects

At the meeting, the investors reported on implementation progress, focusing on completing land allocation procedures, construction permits, investment deposits, technical infrastructure connections, and site preparation. In addition, the delegates discussed and clarified difficulties and obstacles related to accessing preferential credit sources, fulfilling investment deposit obligations, and infrastructure connection procedures.

Delivering directive remarks, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Loan requested that departments, agencies, localities, and investors concentrate fully and move swiftly to complete land, investment, construction, and technical infrastructure procedures in accordance with regulations; proactively coordinate and promptly resolve arising difficulties and obstacles; and ensure that the projects are eligible to break ground on June 29. She emphasized that accelerating the progress of the projects is important for achieving the goal of social housing development and meeting the housing needs of residents and workers in the province.
