Thai Nguyen Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations currently has 373 members participating in 11 specialized chapters and one organizational member. In recent years, the Union has carried out numerous substantive professional activities, helping enrich the People's cultural and spiritual life and advance literary and artistic creativity across the province. In the first 7 months of 2026 alone, the Union held numerous creative camps, workshops, specialized seminars, and professional training courses; launched and organized competitions in literature, art, journalism, fine arts, and photography; advised the Provincial People's Committee on organizing Thai Nguyen Province Literature and Arts Awards; successfully organized many creative competitions featuring diverse genres and forms of expression; held provincial and regional fine-arts and photography exhibitions; and supported members in organizing solo and group exhibitions.

Alongside these achievements, delegates focused on analyzing and clarifying several operational difficulties and obstacles. Operating funds remain limited and are insufficient for substantive, large-scale professional activities; staffing has been reduced significantly even as the Union's sphere of operation has expanded, particularly in the northern area, which includes many mountainous, ethnic minority, remote, and isolated communities. Facilities and equipment for professional activities and digital transformation also remain inadequate and inconsistent.

Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivers remarks

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged and highly appreciated the achievements and contributions of Thai Nguyen Provincial Union of Literature and Arts Associations for the past time. He affirmed that the Union's activities have enriched the People's cultural and spiritual life, preserved and promoted positive cultural values, and contributed actively to the province's overall development.

He emphasized that, in the coming time, Thai Nguyen Province will carry out the Plan to Implement the 2026–2030 Cultural Industries Growth Scenario. The Union and its member chapters play an important role in unlocking creative potential, developing valuable cultural and artistic products, and gradually turning culture into a resource and driver of development. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Union to continue rethinking its approach, promote creativity, and proactively develop and register specific products, programs, and activities to contribute effectively to implementing the province's growth scenario for cultural industries. He directed the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to work closely with the Union to develop an implementation plan with clearly assigned personnel and clearly defined tasks, responsibilities, and timelines, particularly for major cultural events involving member chapters.

Regarding immediate tasks, he requested the Union to actively participate in the International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026 with outstanding literary and artistic works that vividly showcase Thai Nguyen's cultural identity and the character of its people. He also requested the Union to promote the role of artists in creating cultural products for the nighttime economy, tourism development, and local image promotion. These efforts should help turn cultural and artistic values into an important endogenous resource that both enriches the People's spiritual life and creates additional momentum for socio-economic development, building an increasingly prosperous and distinctive Thai Nguyen with growing influence in the new stage.
