Delivering opening remarks, Comrade Ha Thi Bich Hong, Director of Thai Nguyen Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, emphasized that tourism linkage is not meant to make localities become alike, but to promote each locality's own strengths, so that each locality becomes a link in a larger journey, each product becomes part of an experience chain, and each individual story contributes to creating the region's shared story. Accordingly, localities need to shift from the mindset of “one province, one destination” to “multiple destinations - one journey - multiple experiences”, gradually forming an attractive, distinctive, and competitive inter-regional tourism space.

At the Program, delegates focused on exchanging views and discussing solutions to strengthen regional tourism development linkages; build and connect inter-provincial tourism routes and programs; develop distinctive tourism products; and step up promotion, marketing, and digital transformation in tourism activities. Through this, localities identified the potential, strengths, opportunities, and challenges in tourism development, while also proposing tasks and solutions to strengthen linkages, build inter-regional tourism products, and form attractive tourism routes and programs, contributing to attracting tourists, expanding markets, and promoting sustainable tourism development for the 2026 - 2030 period.

Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong delivers remarks

Delivering remarks at the Program, Comrade Duong Van Luong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Provincial Tourism Development Steering Committee, affirmed: Thai Nguyen has identified tourism development as one of the important tasks to effectively tap into the potential and strengths of the locality. The province is committed to continuing to work closely with localities in effectively implementing the cooperation contents; sharing information and management experience; strengthening business connections; jointly organizing promotion and marketing activities; and building quality, attractive tourism products, contributing to making the northern midlands and mountainous region an increasingly competitive destination on Vietnam's tourism map. He proposed that localities continue to renew their thinking on regional linkage, and regard regional linkage as an important driving force in modern tourism development; focus on researching and developing distinctive inter-regional tourism routes, tours, and products; connect historical, cultural, ecological, community, and resort values; and gradually build a shared tourism brand for the six provinces.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 Thai Nguyen Beautiful Tourism Photography Contest presented awards to the prize-winning entrants. With 1,550 entries submitted, the Contest attracted the interest and participation of a large number of entrants, thereby reflecting their love, attachment, and sense of responsibility toward their homeland and country. The entries also helped promote the image of Thai Nguyen and spread its cultural values, landscapes, and tourism potential.

This is a concrete step toward realizing the localities' determination to strengthen coordination, share information, and support state management of tourism; step up promotion and marketing; connect businesses; develop inter-regional tourism products, routes, and sites, while also promoting the heritage values, cultural identity, and tourism resources of each locality.
