On the morning of July 7, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired a briefing conference with the province's internal affairs agencies to review the results of internal affairs work, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control, and judicial reform in the first six months of 2026, and to roll out key tasks for the coming time.

According to the report, in the first six months of 2026, internal affairs work, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control, and judicial reform in the province continued to receive attention, leadership, and direction from Party committees and authorities at all levels, and were implemented in a coordinated and effective manner. Internal affairs agencies proactively translated directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee into specific actions suited to local conditions. National defense and security were maintained; political security and social order and safety remained basically stable. The quality of investigation, prosecution, adjudication, and judgment enforcement continued to improve; inspection, examination, law-making, and legal dissemination and education work were carried out effectively, helping create a stable environment conducive to the province's socio-economic development.

In addition to the results achieved, delegates also pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations, such as: violations of traffic order and safety regulations remaining at a high level; and crimes involving high technology, cyberspace, and telecommunications networks continuing to show complex developments, requiring functional agencies to adopt more resolute and effective prevention and countermeasures.

Delivering directive remarks, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong acknowledged and commended the results achieved by internal affairs agencies for the past time, while also requesting continued improvement in the quality and effectiveness of internal affairs work, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control, and judicial reform amid the implementation of the two-tier local government model. He requested that Party committees and internal affairs agencies urgently and thoroughly internalize and disseminate, and strictly implement, the interim and final review of directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the Central Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee on internal affairs work, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control, and judicial reform, ensuring the proper schedule, quality, and alignment with practical requirements.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee particularly emphasized the requirement that functional forces proactively grasp the situation and promptly and effectively handle emerging security and order issues; absolutely avoid being caught off guard or taken by surprise under any circumstances; continue to improve the quality of inspection, examination, citizen reception, and complaint and denunciation resolution; strengthen the prevention, detection, and strict handling of violations; and focus on communication efforts to build drug-free communes and wards. At the same time, corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control work should be carried out early and from a distance, with prevention as the priority, closely tied to the building and operation of the two-tier local government model in the direction of integrity, transparency, closeness to the people, and responsiveness to their needs, in service of the People.
Regarding the judicial sector, he proposed continuing the serious and effective implementation of the Politburo's resolutions on renewing law-making and law enforcement work to meet the country's development requirements in the new period; improving and enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of state management and the quality of judicial support and legal aid activities; and strongly promoting the oversight role of People's Councils at all levels, the Fatherland Front Committee, socio-political organizations, and the People over judicial activities and judicial reform, thereby helping to build a clean and strong judiciary, protect the lawful rights and interests of organizations and individuals, and effectively serve the province's sustainable development.
