In attendance at the Conference were: Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee and Members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; and leaders of departments, agencies, sectors, and localities across the province. Also attending the Conference were representatives of the central Party building commissions.

Speaking at the Conference, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that this was a Conference of special significance, coming as the province marked one year since its merger. Amid ongoing difficulties and challenges, with the solidarity and determination of the entire political system, the province has achieved many positive results across various fields, laying an important foundation for the next phase of development.

He said that this Conference involved an extremely heavy workload with many important matters, focusing on socio-economic development, Party building, and political system building. Among these, the Provincial Party Executive Committee will discuss and provide input on the results of implementing 20 schemes of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2026 - 2030 period; the results of implementing the Politburo's strategic resolutions; the progress of projects under the flood and inundation control works system in the central area of Thai Nguyen Province; and the situation and results of handling public assets following the reorganization of the administrative apparatus across the province, along with many other important matters.

Emphasizing that these were all matters of strategic significance with a direct impact on the province's development in the coming time, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that Members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, thoroughly study the documents, engage in democratic and candid discussion, and contribute dedicated, high-quality input, so as to ensure the Conference's content is highly feasible and meet the province's development requirements in the new period.

At the Conference, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee personally disseminated and implemented new documents from the Central Government, including directives of the General Secretary and President at the June 2026 regular Government meeting and the Government's online conference with localities; Central regulations, directives, and conclusions on corruption, waste, and negative phenomena prevention and control; regulations on strengthening Party building, inspection, supervision, and staffing management; and regulations on the organizational structure of Party committees directly superior to grassroots Party organizations in public higher education institutions and Party committees superior to the grassroots level in state-owned enterprises...

According to the assessment report, in the first six months of 2026, Party committees and governments at all levels focused on providing resolute and coordinated leadership and direction for the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development in conjunction with Party building and political system building from the very first days of the year. Thai Nguyen achieved many positive results across various fields, with second-quarter 2026 GRDP growth reaching 11.28%, ranking third nationwide and marking the highest growth rate in many years. For the first six months of 2026 overall, the province's GRDP grew by 10.01%, exceeding the set scenario and ranking ninth nationwide.

Along with focusing on socio-economic development, the province successfully organized the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term; continued to promote the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; improved the effectiveness and efficiency of the two-tier local government model; and maintained national defense, security, and political stability while strengthening the People's trust in the Party's leadership and the State's management.

Building on the results achieved, the Conference devoted considerable time to group discussions and plenary discussions, focusing on an objective and comprehensive analysis and assessment of the implementation of tasks in the first six months of the year, and clearly identifying shortcomings, limitations, causes, and lessons learned. Delegates also proposed numerous solutions to continue resolving difficulties, tap growth potential more effectively, accelerate the progress of key projects, improve the effectiveness of state management, promote the effective operation of the two-tier local government model, and strive to fulfill and exceed the province's 2026 socio-economic development targets and indicators.

According to the program, the Conference of the Provincial Party Executive Committee takes place over one day. Delegates will focus on providing input on many other important matters within their authority, laying the groundwork for concretizing the Central Government's major guidelines and orientations, and meeting the requirements for the province's rapid and sustainable development in the new period...
