On the morning of July 8, Dowooinsys Vina Co., Ltd. (NP Group, South Korea) held the groundbreaking ceremony for its second factory at Song Cong II Industrial Park. The ceremony was attended by Comrade Bui Van Luong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of provincial departments, agencies, and sectors, the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks, and local authorities; leaders of NP Group and Dowooinsys Vina Co., Ltd., along with partners, contractors, and a large number of officials and workers.

Dowooinsys Vina specializes in manufacturing ultra-thin glass (UTG) for foldable displays, with 100% of its output currently supplied to Samsung Display, taking part in the global supply chain in the electronics industry.
After completing phase 1 with a total investment of USD 120 million in Thai Nguyen and putting its first factory into effective operation, the company is now moving forward with phase 2, the second factory project at Song Cong II Industrial Park, with a total investment of USD 130 million. The project will help expand production capacity to meet growing market demand, while affirming NP Group's long-term investment strategy in Vietnam in general and Thai Nguyen Province in particular.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Choi Dae Kyu, Chairman of NP Group, expressed appreciation for the attention and support of Thai Nguyen's provincial leadership and relevant agencies throughout the investment and project implementation process. He affirmed that the groundbreaking of the second factory marks an important milestone in the Group's development strategy, reflecting confidence in Thai Nguyen's favorable and stable investment environment. The Chairman of NP Group pledged to focus resources on implementing the project on schedule, applying modern technology, improving product quality, creating more jobs for local workers, contributing positively to the province's socio-economic development, and continuing to expand long-term cooperation in Thai Nguyen.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, congratulated NP Group and Dowooinsys Vina Co., Ltd. on continuing to expand investment in Thai Nguyen. He affirmed that the province remains committed to developing industry in a modern, high-tech, and environmentally friendly direction, taking the development of industrial parks, selective investment attraction, and enhanced enterprise capacity within the supply chain as key drivers of fast and sustainable economic growth. In recent years, Thai Nguyen has continuously improved its investment environment, stepped up administrative procedure reform, upgraded the quality of industrial park infrastructure, and consistently supported and assisted investors from the research stage through project implementation and production and business operations.
Highly appreciating Dowooinsys Vina's contributions to the province's industrial development, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee noted that the company has so far realized approximately USD 90 million in investment capital; its 2025 revenue has exceeded USD 62 million; and it has created jobs for 672 workers, including 650 Vietnamese workers with an average income of about VND 18.3 million per person per month.
He stressed that the groundbreaking of the second factory not only opens a new stage of development for Dowooinsys Vina but also further confirms the appeal of Thai Nguyen's investment environment to the Korean business community and foreign investors. He asked the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks, together with relevant departments, sectors, and localities, to continue coordinating and creating favorable conditions, promptly removing difficulties and obstacles, to help the company implement the Project effectively; he also asked the investor and contractors to concentrate resources and organize construction to ensure progress, quality, labor safety, environmental hygiene, and fire prevention and fighting, and to bring the facility into operation soon.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that Thai Nguyen will continue to support enterprises and create every favorable condition under the law to help them stabilize production, expand investment, and achieve sustainable development. He also expressed the hope that Dowooinsys Vina will continue to focus on recruiting and training local workforce, strengthen ties with businesses in the province, gradually raise its localization rate, and contribute further to the province's socio-economic development in the coming time.
