At the session, delegates discussed and gave their opinions on 15 important matters submitted for comments to the Provincial Party Standing Committee and the Provincial People's Council, focusing on tasks and solutions for the province's socio-economic development in the coming time. The focal point was the draft Resolution on supplementing a number of socio-economic development targets and tasks of Thai Nguyen Province for 2026 and the 2026 - 2030 period, aimed at giving concrete form to the new growth targets in line with the Government's direction.

The session also considered a number of other important matters, including: allocation of the 2026 public investment plan for implementing national target programs; supplementation of the list of land areas subject to bidding for investor selection for land-use projects; the Scheme on establishing the Thai Nguyen Province Venture Capital Fund; matters on tourism development and external communications work; and regulations on priority sectors and fields for the use of high-quality human resources, as well as policies to attract and make good use of talented individuals working in the province's agencies, organizations, and units...

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan delivers directive remarks

Delivering directive remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that the socio-economic development results achieved in the first six months of the year reflect the determination and efforts of the entire political system in leadership, direction, administration, and task implementation. However, after the Government issued Resolution No. 169/NQ-CP dated June 27, 2026 on the growth targets of localities for 2026 and the 2026 - 2030 period, the growth target of Thai Nguyen Province, like those of other localities, was adjusted upward. Therefore, the province needs to swiftly review and supplement its socio-economic development targets and tasks in line with the new requirements.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that in order to fulfill the 2026 GRDP growth target assigned by the Government, the province must achieve a growth rate of 12.69% in the last six months of the year. This is a very demanding task that requires all levels and sectors to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility and greater determination and decisiveness in direction, administration, and task implementation, focusing on resolving difficulties, boosting growth drivers, accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital, improving the business investment environment, and effectively leveraging resources to achieve the socio-economic development targets set.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to take the lead, in coordination with relevant departments, agencies, and localities, to swiftly implement the investment preparation contents for the Capital Region Ring Road 5 Project as directed by the Government, while also accelerating the progress of natural disaster prevention and control projects according to plan. Units and localities are to review and fully prepare the conditions for groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for works and projects in the coming time, with priority given to the key project in the Nui Coc Lake area to create new development momentum; and to focus on site clearance for projects that have already broken ground, facilitating secondary investors to promptly implement their projects.

Regarding a number of other tasks, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested a review of the implementation of policies for officials retiring under regulations to ensure compliance; advice from relevant departments and agencies on establishing a Supporting Industry Association and an FDI Enterprise Association; preparation of content for working sessions with mineral extraction and processing enterprises to effectively leverage the locality's potential and strengths; preparation of the conditions for launching a men's football club and establishing a Football Joint Stock Company in August; and research and advice on adjusting the Ba Be Lake master plan...

He also requested that departments, agencies, and localities fully incorporate the opinions given at the session and swiftly complete proposals, draft resolutions, and schemes to ensure quality and progress for submission to competent authorities for consideration and decision, while focusing on implementing key tasks and solutions in a coordinated manner to lay the foundation for achieving the 2026 growth target and the development targets for the 2026 - 2030 period.
