Overview of the Conference

Attending the Conference were Bui Quang Huy, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee and Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Party Central Executive Committee and Permanent Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; together with members of the Secretariat and Standing Committee and leaders of departments and units under the Youth Union Central Committee.

At the Conference, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union Central Committee focused on evaluating the results of work carried out since the First Conference and discussed the following: guidelines on communication and the organization of activities commemorating major holidays and important historical events in the 2026-2031 period; the plan to implement Directive No. 07-CT/TW dated July 13, 2026 of the Politburo on “Promoting the study and practice of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, methods and style in the new stage of development”; the draft 2027 Program for Youth Union Work and the Youth and Children's Movement; and the draft framework for the set of criteria for evaluating Youth Union work and the youth and children's movement for the 2027-2031 period and for 2027...

Secretary of Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong addresses the Conference

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, affirmed that Thai Nguyen views young people not only as a pioneering force in carrying out tasks, but also as an important force in shaping the province's future development. He expressed the hope that the Youth Union Central Committee would continue to support and work alongside the province, help develop models suited to young people in ethnic minority areas, young workers and rural youth, and create conditions for young people to access science and technology, digital transformation, innovation, entrepreneurship and career development. He expressed confidence that the Standing Committee of the Youth Union Central Committee would continue strengthening the Youth Union organization, broadening efforts to unite and rally young people, and further promoting the pioneering and creative role of youth in the new period.

Later that afternoon, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union Central Committee will review the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign.
