Providing adequate resettlement land for affected households, speeding up site clearance for Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park
On the afternoon of July 29, Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired a meeting to assess the progress of compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project. The meeting was attended by leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and units, representatives of localities within the project area, and investors.
Scene of the meeting
The Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Investment Project, invested in by Yen Binh Investment & Development Corporation, covers nearly 300 ha across Pho Yen Ward (149.52 ha), Van Xuan Ward (84.15 ha), and Diem Thuy Commune (65.4 ha), with a total investment of VND 3,650 billion. As of July 28, 2026, local governments and relevant agencies had disbursed VND 1,273 billion in investment capital, of which about VND 1,207 billion was disbursed for site clearance work; the Provincial Land Fund Development Center advanced and paid about VND 1,095 billion in compensation.

However, site clearance work still faces a number of difficulties. Across the entire Project, 58.35 ha have yet to undergo declaration and inventory, and 311 households have yet to declare their residential land and land-attached assets. The area that has been declared but has not yet had its compensation plan approved stands at 80.62 ha. Verification and completion of legal documents for developing and submitting compensation, support, and resettlement plans for approval in certain areas remain difficult, as they require reviewing and confirming information on land use rights, land-attached assets, household member information, and cases involving inheritance division. In the priority area of about 15 ha alone, 5 households have so far only dismantled their auxiliary structures and have yet to complete the demolition of their main houses.
Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, speaks
Delivering directive remarks, Comrade Tran Van Hau, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that the People's Committees of the relevant communes and wards focus on and resolutely carry out compensation, support, and resettlement work, and step up communication and mobilization efforts to build consensus among residents. Relevant agencies and units are to accelerate the pace of implementing resettlement areas, promptly complete infrastructure, and provide adequate resettlement land for affected households, thereby facilitating site clearance work. He also directed the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to strengthen its workforce and focus on the coordinated implementation of compensation, support, and resettlement work for Yen Binh 2 Industrial Park, ensuring the schedule assigned by the Provincial People's Committee.
