In pursuit of the target of building 60,000 SH units by 2030, the province has approved the investment policy for 13 projects with a total capacity of approximately 12,504 units and is currently reviewing and approving the investment policies for a number of new projects. In 2026, the province expects to complete 5,661 units.

At the meeting, the leadership of the Department of Construction and the relevant units and localities provided detailed reports on the list of SH projects, covering planning schemes, proposed implementation sites, project timelines and compliance with legal procedures for each project. In addition, matters relating to transportation infrastructure, social infrastructure, healthcare services, education and community living spaces were also clarified, thereby identifying the difficulties and obstacles that needed to be addressed.

In his directing remarks, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that the development of social housing constitutes a central task of the province in 2026 and for the 2025 - 2030 period, one of critical importance in attracting human resources and strengthening the province’s competitive advantage. While the province has made considerable efforts in social housing development in recent times, he stressed the need to accelerate this work further in the coming time.

He called on units and localities to focus on implementing and completing social housing projects for the 2025 - 2030 period in accordance with the established project list, particularly the 13 projects currently underway or scheduled for implementation in the coming time, which already have comprehensive planning in place and are to finalize their documentation in 2026, including 4 projects scheduled to break ground on April 30, 2026. For projects in the process of preparing applications to seek investment policy approval, the Department of Construction is to take the lead in appraising and completing procedures and advise the Provincial People’s Committee on the decision to approve the investment policy, while assigning investors to proceed with implementation. With regard to the 6 projects scheduled to break ground on May 19, 2026, units must expedite the completion of documentation and planning adjustments, ensuring that amendments to the general urban planning and subdivision planning are finalized before April 15, 2026.
