Efforts to resolve obstacles in the emergency project to address flooding in Phan Dinh Phung Ward
On the morning of March 24, Comrade Nguyen Linh, Member of the Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, chaired a working session with relevant departments and units on the emergency flood prevention and control project in Phan Dinh Phung Ward.

At the working session, representatives of relevant units reported on the results of implementing the Emergency Construction Order for flood remediation in Phan Dinh Phung Ward, Thai Nguyen province. According to the report, for the component of dredging sludge from drainage pipes, manholes in residential areas, roads in Phan Dinh Phung Ward, and streams serving as urban drainage axes, the contractor has completed construction and is currently finalizing acceptance and payment procedures in accordance with regulations. For other construction and renovation components, actual completion rates have all exceeded 90%, including: the contract for renovating and adding catch basins and water intake gates on Quang Trung Street in the Hoang Gia area and the Dan overpass intersection; adding box culvert drainage on Road Z115 connecting to Lang Danh – Mo Bach stream; adding box culvert drainage on the road to the (former) Tan Thinh Ward People’s Committee connecting to Lang Danh – Mo Bach stream; renovating and adding catch basins, water intake gates, and box culverts on Ben Tuong Road (from the Provincial Party Committee five-way intersection to Bong Toi Bridge); renovating and adding catch basins and water intake gates on Luong Ngoc Quyen Road from Thai Nguyen Central Hospital to Xuan Thinh Bridge; replacing trash racks at the inlet of Xuong Rong Lake; and adding open longitudinal drainage ditches from Phan Dinh Phung – Luong Ngoc Quyen intersection to Xuan Thinh Bridge…

At the working session, representatives of relevant units shared a number of difficulties and obstacles affecting the quality and progress of the emergency construction works, and put forward proposals and recommendations regarding site clearance, and minimizing the illegal dumping of waste and construction materials into streams and the encroachment on drainage infrastructure corridors…

In his directive remarks, Comrade Nguyen Linh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, emphasized that the emergency flood remediation project in Phan Dinh Phung Ward is of particularly important significance in urgently addressing the flooding situation, and required relevant units to seriously coordinate with local authorities to resolve difficulties, limitations, and obstacles in the implementation process, and to accelerate progress on the emergency flood remediation project in Phan Dinh Phung Ward.
