On April 9, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong chaired a meeting to address challenges related to the progress of compensation, resettlement support, and groundbreaking preparations for Thanh Binh Industrial Park Phase II. The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant departments, sectors, and units.
Scene of the meeting
At the meeting, leadership of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center reported on the progress of compensation, support, and resettlement activities for Thanh Binh Industrial Park Phase II. Accordingly, the total land clearance area stands at 80.3 hectares, affecting approximately 129 households — including 37 that must relocate from residential land — with 104 graves requiring relocation and total projected compensation costs of approximately VND 250 billion. To date, the inventory and enumeration process has been substantially completed, with 44 households having registered their resettlement needs.

Nevertheless, the implementation process continues to encounter a number of difficulties and obstacles, primarily relating to land clearance compensation procedures; the assessment of plant density and the application of compensation unit rates; ongoing challenges in arranging resettlement for affected households; and delays in the revision and approval of the zoning plan, which have impacted the timeline for reviewing the Project's feasibility study report.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong delivers his directive remarks
In his directive remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong directed the Department of Construction and the Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks to urgently collaborate and work directly with each other to reach agreement on and approve the revised zoning plan at the earliest opportunity. Thanh Thinh Commune People's Committee is required to strengthen coordination with relevant departments and sectors to intensify public communication and mobilization efforts, encouraging residents to hand over their land in a timely manner and thereby accelerating land clearance progress. In addition, the locality must review and allocate appropriate resettlement land for households whose land has been reclaimed, in order to establish the necessary conditions for advancing the Project's subsequent steps.
