Industrial production continued to be a bright spot in the economy, playing the main driving role in promoting the province's GRDP growth; the production activities of many large enterprises remained stable, creating a foundation for Thai Nguyen to achieve its 2026 growth targets as planned. Import-export activities contributed positively to industrial production development, with a total value of about USD 31.9 billion, up 26.2% over the same period last year. Of which, the group of smartphones, tablets and electronic products played the leading role, accounting for 94.5% of the total turnover. Thai Nguyen continued to rank among the top 5 localities with the largest export value in the country.

Operating FDI projects maintained stable production, contributing significantly to industrial growth, exports and job creation. The whole province newly licensed 20 FDI projects, with total registered capital of USD 5,798 million. As of June 25, the whole province had 1,106 newly established and resumed enterprises, up 42.7% over the same period, showing that the business community's confidence in the province's investment and business environment continued to improve.

Agriculture, forestry and fishery production remained stable, ensuring food supply. Cultural and social fields continued to receive attention in direction and coordinated implementation, achieving many outstanding results. Policies on labor, employment, social security, healthcare for the People, education and social protection were implemented fully and promptly, helping ensure social security, stabilize the lives of the People and create a foundation for sustainable development.

Despite these positive results, the province's economic growth remains significantly affected by the activities of the foreign-invested enterprise sector, especially the electronics manufacturing sector, and developments in export markets. This continues to be a factor that needs to be closely monitored in the remaining months of the year to ensure sustained growth momentum, improve the quality of growth and successfully achieve the 2026 socio-economic development targets.

Based on the results of the first six months of the year, the Provincial Statistics Office will advise the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee on assessing the ability to achieve the 2026 socio-economic development targets, while proposing key tasks and solutions to successfully achieve the targets and indicators for the whole year.
