Reviewing the handling and utilization of surplus housing and land facilities in localities
On the afternoon of June 18, Comrade Nguyen Linh, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired an online conference with communes and wards across the province to review the handling and utilization of surplus housing and land facilities following the reorganization of administrative units.

According to the report at the Conference, after the reorganization of administrative units, the whole province has 765 housing and land facilities subject to review and handling. As of June 17, 2026, 729 facilities had completed handling and utilization (reaching 95.3%), while 36 facilities are still being processed. Among these facilities, 330 were transferred to commune and ward People's Committees for management, of which 319 facilities have completed handling, mainly being arranged as working offices, public service facility premises, cultural and sports institutions, and community activity spaces.

For the 87 facilities transferred to the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, 62 facilities have completed handling and utilization; the remainder are undergoing procedures in accordance with regulations. In addition, a number of surplus housing and land facilities of central agencies and local units are having their reception, management, and utilization plans developed by relevant sectors and localities.

At the Conference, localities reported on the reception, handling, and utilization of surplus housing and land facilities; the number of facilities already put into use, the number still outstanding, and handling plans for the coming time. They also proposed solutions to remove difficulties related to planning, land procedures, and public asset utilization mechanisms in order to make effective use of housing and land facilities.

Delivering directive remarks, Comrade Nguyen Linh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, requested that localities continue to speed up the handling of outstanding facilities; proactively coordinate with relevant departments and sectors to complete dossiers and procedures, and develop effective utilization plans to avoid wasting public assets. He also called for a thorough resolution of issues related to planning, rental prices, and land use right auctions, and for the prompt completion of the reception and handover of facilities transferred by central agencies, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and effectively serving the locality's socio-economic development needs.
