Connecting markets for cooperative products through online livestream sessions
On the morning of June 18, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance held a training session on a Livestream Marketplace connecting trade promotion and the sale of cooperative (co-op) products, with the participation of 20 trainees who are board members, directors, and business officials of cooperatives across the province.
Overview of the livestream session
This activity is part of the 2026 plan to support cooperatives in stepping up the application of science and technology, digital transformation, and e-commerce development. Through this, it helps improve competitiveness, expand product markets, and promote the development of the collective economy in the current period.
Taking part in the training, trainees were equipped with foundational knowledge of e-commerce and the role of digital distribution channels in production and business activities, while also gaining access to modern sales trends through social media and online platforms. The training content focused on skills for building and developing digital sales channels, methods for organizing a professional livestream session, building sales scripts, customer engagement skills, and increasing order conversion efficiency in the digital environment.
The highlight of the training program was a hands-on livestream practice session held right in the classroom. Trainees not only observed the process of organizing a complete broadcast session but also directly took part in building content, introducing products, practicing sales, and engaging with customers under the guidance of the instructor. After the guided session, trainees went on to build their own livestream scripts for their units' products and practiced them during the afternoon session.

In preparation for the hands-on livestream practice session in the classroom, cooperatives brought representative products with finished packaging and labeling, along with short videos introducing their production processes, material-growing areas, and outstanding product features. These were important materials that helped trainees build engaging and professional communication content when taking part in online sales.
At the livestream session, many distinctive products of cooperatives across the province were introduced to consumers, including smoked meat, Vietnamese cured pork sausage, turmeric starch, macadamia nuts, and herbal tea varieties, among others. All of the products have clear origins, ensuring quality and food safety, and carry strong distinctive features of their respective localities. Through the live broadcast format, cooperatives introduced the production processes, uses, nutritional value, and outstanding advantages of their products, thereby helping promote their brands and improve market access.

Amid the strong pace of digital transformation, livestream sales are an effective promotional tool, opening up new opportunities for cooperatives to reach consumers, reduce intermediary costs, and expand their sales markets. The combination of theoretical training and hands-on practice has helped trainees improve their skills in applying digital technology to production and business activities, gradually adapting to the development trends of the digital economy.
According to the plan, Thai Nguyen Province Cooperative Alliance will continue to hold a second training and livestream session on June 19 to help more cooperatives access modern business methods. This will help promote product sales, build brands, increase the value of goods, and create momentum for the sustainable development of the collective economic sector in the coming time.
