In implementing Resolution No. 11-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on developing Thai Nguyen Province's tea sector for the 2025 - 2030 period, the province is preparing a plan for developing strategic technology products for the Thai Nguyen tea sector for the 2026 - 2030 period. Accordingly, it aims to focus resources and solutions on developing strategic technology products, striving by 2030 to develop a number of strategic technology products and technological solutions that can be applied, mastered, transferred, and replicated in the Thai Nguyen tea sector, helping achieve the target of VND 25,000 billion in total value of tea products by 2030.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing categories of strategic technology products based on the potential and advantages of Thai Nguyen tea. Participants said that the selection and development of these products should aim to create high added value, expand markets, and be commercially viable, while being suited to local capacities for technology adoption, mastery, transfer, and replication. They also requested greater attention to developing products that can connect the stages and form an integrated value chain spanning growing areas, production, processing, and consumption, thereby enhancing the value and competitiveness of the tea sector.

Delivering directive remarks, Comrade Nguyen Thi Loan, Vice Chairwoman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that developing a plan for strategic technology products in the tea sector is a major policy and an important task for promoting tea-sector growth and contributing positively to the province's socio-economic development in the 2026 - 2030 period. She requested departments and sectors to coordinate with research institutes and universities in reviewing information, digitizing records, and developing mapping databases for tea-growing areas, while strengthening control over tea quality and output in the province. Strategic technology products must be selected and developed based on local realities and domestic and international market demand, and must be feasible, applicable, and commercially viable. Regarding tourism and service products linked to the tea sector, she directed that their development should be studied based on the actual conditions of each tea-growing area and in line with the overall plan. At the same time, departments, sectors, and localities need to promote the application of science, technology, and digital transformation throughout the tea-sector value chain.
