The Workshop was attended by Comrade Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong, Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien, former Rector of University of Agriculture and Forestry - Thai Nguyen University, expert on vocational education; representatives of departments, branches, units and enterprises in the province.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Dien, former Rector of the University of Agriculture and Forestry - Thai Nguyen University, an expert on vocational education discussed key solutions to improve the operational efficiency of vocational education institutions   

The workshop aimed to assess the current situation of vocational education activities in Thai Nguyen province for 2021 – 2023 period as a basis for developing plans and tasks and solutions for the implementation of vocational education work for 2023 – 2025 period, with an orientation to 2030. It created a forum for exchange between vocational education institutions to exchange and assess the current situation of vocational education work in the current period, limitations and propose effective solutions to promote the operation of vocational education institutions in an open and flexible direction, meeting the needs of enterprises and the labor market.

At the workshop, delegates jointly exchanged, discussed and assessed the current status of operation of vocational education institutions in the province; advantages, disadvantages and obstacles in the implementation of vocational education work for 2021 – 2023 period. They proposed key solutions to improve the operational efficiency of vocational education institutions for 2024 – 2025 period, with an orientation to 2030. They also researched effective models in vocational training for Thai Nguyen workers and the labor market connection model meeting the recruitment needs of enterprises in the province in the current period.

As a result, it contributed to enhancing the awareness and responsibilities of agencies, units, localities, and vocational education institutions in implementing the goals and targets related to vocational education. It also made contribution to effectively executing Action Program No. 41-CTr/TU dated June 28, 2023 by Thai Nguyen Province Party Standing Committee, in line with Directive No. 21-CT/TW dated May 4, 2023 of the Secretariat on continuing innovation, development and improving the quality of vocational education until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
