Commenting on the draft Scheme on information, communication and press development of Thai Nguyen province by 2030, with a vision to 2045
On December 5, the Department of Information and Communications held a conference to comment on the draft Project on information, communication and press development of Thai Nguyen province by 2030, with a vision to 2045 (the Scheme). The conference was attended by leaders of relevant departments and branches; information, press and media agencies of the province; Provincial Journalists' Association; districts and cities in the province.

Mr. Ta Van Loc, Director of the Information Center, Editor-in-Chief of the Provincial Web Portal spoke at the conference

According to the draft, the Scheme has set out development viewpoints on development, general objectives and overall goals for the fields of journalism, electronic information and social networks, foreign information and grassroots information. Most delegates believe that in recent years, the fields of information, journalism and communication have not had any systematically constructed and issued plans. This is a fairly comprehensive, detailed and substantial plan; its objectives are required to be in line with the Party's guidelines, the state's policies and laws. The list of tasks, projects and basic plans is appropriate; in particular, the tasks assigned to the Department of Information and Communication for the press agencies are very suitable for the current trend, especially when these press agencies are gradually implementing financial autonomy mechanisms according to the national press development planning roadmap.

At the conference, delegates provided numerous opinions directly contributing to the content of the Schem, such as: Subjects and scope of adjustment; duration of new production and broadcast of radio and television programs; assessing the current state of social networks and the number of users in Thai Nguyen province engaging in these platforms; technological transformation trends and forecasts; additional research on tasks related to ensuring information security and safety. In particular, delegates were interested in contributing many comments on the model of merging and consolidating provincial press agencies in order to gather key local press and media resources on unified direction and management, concentrating investment and professional resources to perform political tasks well.

Mr. Do Xuan Hoa, Director of the Department of Information and Communications delivered the concluding speech at the conference

After the delegates exchanged and discussed, the leadership of the the Department of Information and Communications recorded and fully absorbed comments to continue editing, supplementing and completing the draft Scheme and submitting it to the Provincial People's Committee for approval.
