With the motto "Solidarity - Renovation - Integration - Development", in the past term, all levels of Farmers' Unions in the province have always closely followed the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union, effectively implementing the Resolution of the Farmers' Union Congress at all levels and local socio-economic development objectives. Active innovation in content, methods of operation and a focus on grassroots initiatives were recorded. The leadership and direction of the Executive Committee of the Farmers' Union at all levels underwent significant innovations, showing creativity, centrality and a focus on grassroots. As a result, all 12 emulation criteria set by the Resolution of the 8th Congress were accomplished, with 11 of them exceeding the planned targets. Notably, the criteria related to building collective economic models at various union levels reached 361% of the Resolution's target.

Identifying the construction of the Farmers' Union organization, particularly the development of the Union's branches and members, as a focal task, the Provincial Farmers' Union has actively innovated content, methods of operation and provided guidance to various levels of the Union in establishing coordination regulations between the Farmers' Union and the corresponding government authorities. This has fostered consensus in the work of building the Union organization. During this term, over 19,000 new members were recruited, achieving 129.8% of the resolution's target, bringing the total number of Union members in the entire province to over 163,000. Currently, there are 177 Union bases with over 2,100 branches throughout the province.

The emulation movements launched by the Union continue to develop extensively, are qualitatively enhanced and have a strong spread. The highlight is the Farmers' Movement for Excellent Production and Business, Unity for Wealth and Sustainable Poverty Reduction. This is a major movement of the Union, attracting a large number of members and farmers. On average, each year, 129,000 farming households register to strive for excellent production and business and approximately 58,000 households annually achieve outstanding production and business results at all levels, reaching 105.4% of the resolution's target. From this movement, numerous exemplary farmers have emerged, demonstrating excellence in production, bold thinking and the application of advanced science and technology, leading to high economic efficiency. Notable examples include the household of Ms. Dao Thanh Hao in Tan Cuong commune, Thai Nguyen City, with a tea cultivation, processing and business model generating an average income of VND 750 million per capita per year, providing stable employment for 50 workers. Another example is Mr. Luong Van Dung's family in Cau Da hamlet, Hoang Nong commune, Dai Tu district, with a fruit tree cultivation and tea processing model achieving an average income of VND 500 million per capita per year, providing stable employment for 20 workers. Additionally, Mr. Tran Van Trieu's family in Pho Co ward, Song Cong City, has a chicken breeding model with an average income of VND 200 million per capita per year, providing regular employment for 15 workers... Through this movement, the spirit of mutual support and compassion among Union members and farmers has been actively promoted. Successful business households have contributed over VND 5.3 billion and more than 30,000 labor days to assist poor and disadvantaged farming Union members in stabilizing their lives. At the same time, the movement has significantly contributed to the restructuring of the economic and labor structures, increasing income values and improving the lives of farmers. Moreover, the Union actively mobilizes farmers to implement the National Target Program for New Rural Development, Civilized Urban Areas and Environmental Protection. During the term, the Union at all levels mobilized its members and farmers across the province to contribute more than 398,000 m2 of land. They also contributed over 220,000 labor days and renovated or repaired over 780 km of roads, more than 1,300 km of internal canals and numerous other projects, totaling over VND 178 billion. Additionally, they successfully initiated the construction of 953 models in which farmers actively participated in environmental protection in rural areas and responded to climate change. These results have significantly contributed to the successful achievement of Thai Nguyen province's goal in building a new rural area, creating a vibrant, fresh and beautiful rural landscape in Thai Nguyen.

In addition to effectively implementing emulation movements to help Union members and farmers access additional resources for economic development, the Provincial Farmers' Union has shown interest and actively promoted activities to support capital, vocational training, supply agricultural materials and equipment, and transfer advanced scientific and technological knowledge to its members. As of now, the total capital from the Farmers' Support Fund in the entire province has reached over VND 55 billion. The Union at all levels has successfully established 119 project development models, providing timely capital assistance to over 1,100 Union member farmers. Furthermore, the Union has collaborated with the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank and partnered with the Social Policy Bank to entrust over 36,000 Union member farmers with loans totaling more than VND 2.7 million billion.

Looking back on the past 5 years, Thai Nguyen Farmers' Union has achieved many good successes. These achievements have contributed to brightening the colorful picture of outstanding marks achieved by Thai Nguyen Farmers' Union in the past term; at the same time created a solid premise and stepping stone for Thai Nguyen farmers to firmly step on a new journey.

Entering 2023 – 2028 term, with the spirit of "Solidarity - Creativity - Cooperation - Development", Thai Nguyen Farmers' Union determines the general direction is to build a strong Thai Nguyen Farmers' Union; arouse aspirations, promote the subjective and central role of farmers in development of agriculture, rural economy and new rural construction. In order to successfully accomplish the objectives and targets set by the Resolution of the 9th Congress of Thai Nguyen Farmers' Union, Comrade Ngo The Hoan, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Union said: n the upcoming term, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Union will focus on leading and directing efforts to enhance political and ideological education for officials, members, and farmers. The emphasis will be on consolidating and building the Union's organization, innovating the content and methods of its activities in a practical manner aligned with the rights, needs, and desires of its members and farmers. There will be an emphasis on strengthening and improving the effectiveness of inspection and supervision work suitable for new situations and tasks. The Union will innovate and enhance the quality of the work related to competition, commendation, and organize emulation movements in a practical and effective direction. Simultaneously, efforts will be directed towards mobilizing farmers to participate in agricultural development, the construction of new rural areas, and civilized urban areas. The primary focus will be on promoting the Farmers' Movement for Excellent Production and Business, Unity for Wealth and Sustainable Poverty Reduction. The Union will organize consultations and support to help farmers develop their production. They will encourage and guide farmers to establish economic models and develop collective economic forms. Farmers will be actively motivated to implement the National Target Program for New Rural Development, Civilized Urban Areas and Environmental Protection. Additionally, active participation in building a strong Party, government and leveraging the overall national solidarity will be pursued. Promoting the achieved outcomes, in 2023 – 2028 term, Union members and farmers across the province are determined to unite, unanimously agree and make concerted efforts to overcome challenges. They aim to promote patriotic movements, with a firm commitment to building a robust Union organization worthy of its central and core role in the development of agriculture, the construction of new rural areas and contributing significantly to the creation of essential momentum for building a more civilized and prosperous Thai Nguyen province.
