Comrade Nguyen The Manh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, addresses the working session
At the working session, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen The Manh praised the contributions of Samsung and businesses in the Group’s ecosystem to Thai Nguyen’s development, particularly in industrial development, job creation, economic restructuring, participation in production chains, supporting technologies, workforce training and the enhancement of the province’s production capacity. He affirmed that Thai Nguyen regards maintaining and strengthening cooperation with businesses, including Samsung, as one of the driving forces behind economic growth and improvements in the quality of socio-economic development.
With a commitment to practical support, the province will continue to improve the investment climate, accelerate administrative procedure reform and enhance services for businesses; it will also prioritize upgrading industrial park infrastructure and other essential infrastructure serving production.
The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee requested provincial departments and agencies, Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks and local authorities to coordinate proactively and promptly address businesses’ concerns. For each issue, the lead agency, coordinating agencies and deadline for resolution must be clearly identified; matters beyond their authority must be reported promptly, and unresolved difficulties must not be allowed to drag on and disrupt business operations.
In addition to facilitating Samsung’s operations, the province hopes the Group will further strengthen ties between the foreign direct investment (FDI) sector and domestic enterprises, expand its network of Vietnamese suppliers and help local businesses improve their production capacity, management capabilities and quality standards so they can gradually become more deeply integrated into Samsung’s supply chain. These efforts will help develop supporting industries, facilitate the transfer of technology and management expertise, and increase the positive spillover effects of the FDI sector on the local economy.
Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, speaks at the working session
Expressing his appreciation for the attention and support of Thai Nguyen’s provincial leaders, Mr. Na Ki Hong, General Director of Samsung Vietnam, affirmed that Thai Nguyen plays an important role in Samsung’s operations in Vietnam. Samsung’s units in the province are maintaining their growth momentum and will continue striving to meet their production and business targets for 2026.
Samsung representatives said the Group would continue stepping up its efforts to contribute to local communities, developing a skilled technology workforce and supporting local businesses. In particular, the Samsung Innovation Campus program at Thai Nguyen University is being implemented to train young people in fields such as artificial intelligence, big data and programming. The Group is also coordinating with the Department of Industry and Trade to implement programs that help local businesses improve their production capabilities and quality standards, helping them participate more deeply in the supply chain.
Both sides agreed to maintain close coordination, exchange information regularly, promptly resolve any difficulties or obstacles that arise, and strengthen cooperation in workforce development, business support and the development of supporting industries.
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen The Manh affirmed that Thai Nguyen would continue to support Samsung through concrete, practical actions and foster favorable conditions so that the Group can invest with confidence, expand its production and business operations, achieve stable, efficient and sustainable development, and make an increasingly positive contribution to the province’s development.
