Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visits and reviews the operations of cultural institutions and community healthcare facilities in Dong Hy commune
On the afternoon of May 25, Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and assessed the operations of the Community Healthcare and Elderly Healthcare Center and the Library and Community Cultural Activities Center of Dong Hy commune. Joining him were Comrade Tran Thi Loc, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council, and leaders of a number of provincial departments, commissions, and agencies.

The Community Healthcare and Elderly Healthcare Center of Dong Hy commune is currently located within the central premises of the Commune Health Station. Since its establishment, the Center has provided health check-ups for 270 elderly residents and organized consultations on hypertension and diabetes for 140 elderly residents. The Center's operations have initially met the healthcare and advisory needs of local residents, particularly the elderly.

As for the Library and Community Cultural Activities Center, it is located at the headquarters of the commune's Fatherland Front Committee. The library covers an area of over 95 m², comprises 5 bookshelves, approximately 2,000 books, and more than 300 titles across various categories, including children's books, books about President Ho Chi Minh, literature, science and technology, and others. This contributes to meeting the reading, learning, and knowledge-seeking needs of local residents and creating a cultural activity space for the community.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expresses the hope that the locality continues to refine the model and fully utilize the functions of the Library and Community Cultural Activities Center so that it truly becomes a meaningful community gathering space for the people
Having toured the facilities and assessed the operations of the centers, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan commended the proactiveness of provincial departments and agencies and local Party committees and authorities in caring for the well-being of the people, especially the elderly. He emphasized that building cultural institutions and community healthcare facilities not only contributes to improving the quality of life but also strengthens social cohesion and preserves and promotes traditional cultural values in the locality. He requested that the locality continue to refine the model, improve the quality of cultural and healthcare activities, and maximize the effective use of the centers' functions so they become meaningful community gathering spaces, serving the needs of the people — particularly the elderly in the area.
