Attending the Program were representatives of local authorities, Women's Union officials at various levels and a large number of union members and women in Cho Ra Commune.

At the Program, delegates and Women's Union members received communication and information on a range of topics related to environmental protection and climate change adaptation, including: household waste sorting at source, reducing plastic waste, building green lifestyle habits and contributing to a clean and safe living environment. The Program also highlighted the role of women in community outreach and advocacy for environmental protection.

Through visual communication activities, photo exhibitions, advocacy performances and displays of recycled products, Women's Union members gained additional knowledge and skills on environmental protection in connection with daily life. On this occasion, Women's Union officials, members and residents of Cho Ra Commune also contributed opinions and shared difficulties and challenges related to environmental protection and climate change adaptation in the locality, thereby proposing solutions suited to local conditions.

The Project "Capacity Building of the Vietnam Women's Union on Environmental Protection and Climate Change Mitigation" was implemented to enhance the capacity of Women's Union organizations at all levels in advocacy work and in mobilizing union members to participate in environmental protection and climate change adaptation, thereby contributing to promoting the role of women in building new rural areas and achieving sustainable development at the local level.
