In the joyful atmosphere of the historic days of May, marking the 136th anniversary of the birth of beloved President Ho Chi Minh and the 79th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the Party Central Committee and the Government's arrival at ATK Dinh Hoa to lead the resistance against the French colonial invaders (May 20, 1947 – May 20, 2026), Thai Nguyen Province today solemnly organizes the Opening Ceremony of Tourism Season 2026, themed: Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”.

On behalf of the leadership of Thai Nguyen Province, I warmly welcome and sincerely thank Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Tra, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; the leaders and distinguished guests; and all residents and visitors for their warm attention and attendance at today's Program.

Dear distinguished guests and fellow citizens!

Thai Nguyen Province is a land of rich historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions; a center for economic activities, education and training in the Northern midland and mountainous region. Thai Nguyen is known not only as the "Land of No. 1 Famous Tea" but also possesses a rich tourism ecosystem with outstanding potential for ecotourism, resort tourism, cultural-historical tourism and community-based tourism.

To speak of Thai Nguyen is to speak of lush green tea hills stretching through the early morning mist, centuries-old traditional craft villages, renowned tea products and the distinctive cultural heritage of ethnic communities. These unique values define the identity and appeal of tourism in the land of tea.

Nature has generously endowed Thai Nguyen Province with many renowned scenic landscapes, including Ba Be Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake in Vietnam, recognized by UNESCO as Vietnam's third Ramsar site; the romantic Nui Coc Lake, associated with the legendary love story of Coc and Cong, alongside hundreds of other lakes, old-growth forest systems and rich nature reserves. Thai Nguyen also boasts magnificent caves such as Phuong Hoang Cave, Mo Ga Stream, Hua Mạ Cave, Puong Cave; pristine streams and waterfalls; and distinctive agricultural regions such as the tea zones of Tan Cuong, La Bang, Trai Cai, Khe Coc and Bang Phuc, as well as fruit orchards and medicinal herb cultivation areas. These are favorable conditions for developing distinctive ecotourism, resort tourism and experiential tourism products.

Thai Nguyen Province is also a land that has witnessed many heroic historical events of the nation. Many historical sites have become popular destinations, "red addresses" for revolutionary tradition education, including: the special national relic site ATK Dinh Hoa – ATK Cho Don, the National Historical Relic of July 27, the Memorial Site for Youth Volunteers of Company 915 who sacrificed their lives at Luu Xa Station, Deo Giang Victory Relic and Na Tu Relic. In addition, a growing network of historical relics, cultural institutions, experiential destinations and community tourism sites rich in cultural identity continues to be invested in and developed.

In recent years, Thai Nguyen Province has consistently focused on leading and directing tourism development in a professional, sustainable direction, progressively making tourism one of the province's leading economic sectors. The Provincial Party Executive Committee has issued the Scheme for Tourism Development in Thai Nguyen Province and the Scheme for Promoting Cultural Values and the Strength of Thai Nguyen People for the 2026–2030 Period, with the objective of effectively preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, in connection with tourism development, creating a driving force for socioeconomic development and improving people's livelihoods.

The Opening Ceremony of Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026 is a significant event to introduce and promote the welcoming, hospitable and culturally rich land and people of the tea region. With diverse activities and distinctive tourism products, Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026 will leave a strong and positive impression on the community and visitors from near and far, serving as a safe, civilized and friendly destination.

Themed Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”, the Program serves not only as an invitation to visitors to come to Thai Nguyen Province but also as an expression of the province's aspirations for development, harmoniously leveraging natural, cultural and human values to pursue green, sustainable tourism in the new era. The image of a lake amid vast forests, lush tea hills and distinctive cultural identity together compose the unique "symphony" of Thai Nguyen today.

Dear distinguished guests and fellow citizens!

For tourism to truly become an attractive destination and a leading economic sector, Thai Nguyen Province identifies the need for the concerted engagement of the entire political system, the business community and the people. The province will continue to focus on completing mechanisms and policies; improving the investment and business environment; and implementing comprehensive, synchronized solutions on planning and investment attraction to develop high-quality tourism products.

On this occasion, I call on provincial departments, agencies and localities to continue enhancing the effectiveness of state management in tourism and to create the most favorable conditions for attracting tourism investment. I also hope that strategic investors, the business community and travel agencies will continue to accompany Thai Nguyen Province in researching and developing high-quality tourism products; effectively tapping into the potential of ecotourism, resort tourism, community-based tourism and tea culture tourism, contributing to brand building and enhancing the competitiveness of Thai Nguyen's tourism sector.

I call on local governments and residents to continue demonstrating a spirit of responsibility, preserving a clean and beautiful natural landscape and cultivating a civilized and friendly way of life, so that every resident becomes a true "tourism ambassador" of the tea homeland.

Dear distinguished guests, dear all residents and visitors!

With strong political determination, the support and direction of the Central government, the accompaniment of the business community and the concerted efforts of the people of all ethnic groups in the province, I am confident that Thai Nguyen's tourism sector will continue to advance strongly and achieve breakthroughs in the coming time, progressively affirming its position as an attractive destination in the Northern midland and mountainous region and across the country.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I hereby declare open Thai Nguyen Tourism Season 2026, themed: Symphony "Lake on the Mountain, Tea in the Clouds”.

I wish all leaders, distinguished guests, residents and visitors good health, happiness and many memorable experiences in Thai Nguyen Province.
