Overview of the Conference

Also attending the conference were Comrades Dong Van Luu, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nong Quang Nhat, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and members of the Steering Committee.

According to a report by the Department of Health (the standing agency of the Steering Committee), the implementation of Resolution No. 72 in 2026 has been on schedule since the beginning of the year. To date, 10 tasks have been completed and 35 are being carried out; of these, two targets have already been met (having at least 4 to 5 doctors per health station by 2027, and a 95% health insurance coverage rate in 2026).

Communication work has been carried out regularly, linked to political tasks and emulation movements to raise awareness and change behaviors beneficial to each resident's health, and to mobilize the entire population to participate in health insurance and periodic health checkups. As of the end of July 27, the rate of residents receiving periodic health checkups reached 65.88%. Through the checkups, 17 different groups of diseases/health issues were recorded and classified, and 43,059 cases were detected, accounting for about 3.8% of the total number of people examined.

Comrade Dang Van Huy, Director of the Department of Health, reports on the implementation of the Resolution

The health sector has completed the restructuring and reorganization of its affiliated public service units toward a streamlined, effective, and efficient model in line with the two-tier local government model. The province now has 92 centers and 36 community health care and elderly health care points. The network of private health facilities continues to grow in both quantity and quality.

Alongside these notable results, the implementation of the Resolution still faces a number of difficulties and obstacles, particularly the shortage of health care human resources, especially doctors at the grassroots level.
