Over the past years, MobiFone and Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee have carried out many coordinated activities, such as supporting the operation of the Information System for handling administrative procedures serving the two-tier local government, training, technical support, developing telecommunications infrastructure, and expanding 4G/5G coverage across the entire area. These results have laid a solid foundation for a new and more extensive cooperation phase between MobiFone and Thai Nguyen Province.

According to the signed contents, the Cooperation Agreement focuses on five key areas: Digital government, digital infrastructure, digital economy, digital society, and technology research, application and innovation. The two sides agreed on the Cooperation Agreement on the digital transformation of Thai Nguyen Province for the 2026 - 2030 period in order to improve the operational effectiveness of each side while contributing shared benefits to society as a whole. The Provincial People's Committee and MobiFone will step up research and the application of information technology and digital transformation in the fields of public administration and socio-economic affairs, working toward building a digital government aligned with Thai Nguyen Province's development orientation, and toward the goal of promoting coordinated digital transformation across the pillars of digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital infrastructure and network safety and security, contributing to raising Thai Nguyen Province's development indices in the 2026 - 2030 period and the years that follow. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee and MobiFone will jointly research and propose the application of new and platform technologies. Specifically, they will jointly research, propose and consider piloting the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in a number of the province's priority fields, such as: Education, healthcare, tourism, transportation, agriculture, and natural resources and environment, based on actual needs and in accordance with current law.

The signing of the agreement is a step to concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo and the Strategy for Digital Transformation of Thai Nguyen Province to 2030; thereby mobilizing additional technology, infrastructure and expert resources to implement the province's digital transformation goals.

Speaking at the program, Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone Corporation, affirmed that the signed Cooperation Agreement is an important milestone, opening a new phase of cooperation between MobiFone and Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee in a spirit of partnership, substance and effectiveness. He expressed his belief that bringing into play the strengths of each side will contribute to promoting the building of a digital government, digital economy and digital society, making Thai Nguyen a modern and sustainably developed locality and a bright spot in digital transformation for the northern midland and mountainous region. Major General Truong Son Lam also pledged that MobiFone would mobilize its resources, technology and team of experts to the fullest to effectively implement the cooperation contents, working alongside Thai Nguyen Province in the process of comprehensive digital transformation and creating a foundation for rapid and sustainable development.

He emphasized that the signing of the Cooperation Agreement carries important significance, creating a foundation for the two sides to bring into play their strengths, mobilize resources, and effectively implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation in the province. He expressed his belief that, with the province's determination and MobiFone's capacity, experience and technological potential, the cooperation program will soon deliver specific, far-reaching results and create clear breakthroughs affirming the effectiveness of the Cooperation Agreement, while generating fresh momentum for the rapid and sustainable development of Thai Nguyen Province and the increasingly strong growth of MobiFone in the coming time.
