Thai Nguyen provincial leaders receive Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Vietnamese Diplomacy"
On the afternoon of August 2, in Hanoi, within the framework of the 33rd Diplomatic Conference, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 22nd National Conference on Foreign Affairs themed "Elevating local external relations and effectively mobilizing international resources for development". Comrade Le Hoai Trung, Politburo Member and Minister of Foreign Affairs, chaired the Conference.

The Conference was attended by more than 300 delegates, including leaders of central commissions, ministries, and sectors, localities, foreign affairs agencies, Vietnamese representative missions abroad, business associations, and enterprises. The Thai Nguyen provincial delegation was led by Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies.

At the Conference, delegates focused on reviewing the results of local external relations work in the recent period, while discussing solutions to improve the effectiveness of external relations activities in the new period. The opinions affirmed that local external relations work has been increasingly implemented in a coordinated manner, helping to maintain a peaceful environment, expand international cooperation relations, attract resources for socio-economic development, ensure national defense and security, and enhance the standing of localities.

Delivering directive remarks, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung emphasized that, amid rapid and complex developments in the regional and global situation, local external relations work needs to continue refreshing its approach, enhancing its proactiveness and professionalism, and staying closely aligned with development goals. The Minister requested that localities promote the role of agency heads in leading external relations work and strengthen coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative missions abroad in order to effectively mobilize international resources for sustainable development.

On this occasion, the Minister of Foreign Affairs presented the Commemorative Medal "For the Cause of Vietnamese Diplomacy" to collectives and individuals with many contributions to external relations work. Thai Nguyen Province had 3 comrades honored to receive the Commemorative Medal, including: Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Vuong Quoc Tuan, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Comrade Nguyen Dang Binh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies. In addition, one individual from Thai Nguyen Province was awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs for outstanding achievements and active contributions to external relations work during the 2024 - 2026 period.
