Bustling 2026 Khau Nua Lech Young Rice Flake Fragrance and Ngan Son Chestnut Festival
On the morning of September 19, the 2026 Khau Nua Lech Young Rice Flake Fragrance and Ngan Son Chestnut Festival opened in Ban Chang Hamlet, Ngan Son Commune. Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Nong Thi Ha, Deputy Minister of Ethnic and Religious Affairs, leaders of several provincial departments and sectors, as well as leaders of communes and wards across the province.

During the opening program, delegates and local residents enjoyed an arts program and a mass bell-dance performance by 100 Dao Tien women. Visitors also had the opportunity to take part in the Khau Nua Lech Young Rice Flake Fragrance Contest, visit and explore the booths, shop for local products and enjoy local cuisine. The “Back to the Roots” run and the Ngan Son Commune Open Volleyball Tournament also contributed to the Festival's vibrant atmosphere.

Delivering the opening remarks at the Festival, Comrade Duong Thi Phuong Que, Chairwoman of Ngan Son Commune People's Committee, emphasized that the Festival was not only an occasion to introduce the homeland's distinctive products, but also the beginning of a journey to spread Ngan Son's unique values and distinctive character. Through the fragrance of young rice flakes and the taste of chestnuts, Ngan Son presents visitors with a land steeped in tradition, with a distinctive cultural identity, beautiful natural landscapes, valuable historical and cultural relics and down-to-earth, warm-hearted and hospitable people. She expressed the hope that these values would continue to spread after the Festival.
