Representatives of Huong Van Tea Cooperative and Success Making Co., Ltd. (South Korea) signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

According to the MOU, both parties agreed to establish a long-term strategic cooperative relationship with the goals of enhancing the brand value of Thai Nguyen tea; developing high-quality product lines for export; connecting with the South Korean market and other international markets; promoting technology transfer, innovation in tea production and processing; and aiming for green agriculture, circular economy, and sustainable development. Concurrently, both parties will collaborate to promote tea culture associated with experiential tourism development and explore investment opportunities within the tea industry value chain.

Within the framework of cooperation, both parties will collaborate to research and develop tea varieties suitable for the tastes of the South Korean and international markets; improve product quality, diversify designs, complete brand identity systems, apply traceability, and gradually standardize production processes according to international standards for quality, food safety, and environmental protection.

In addition, the two entities will strengthen trade promotion activities through business matching, participation in fairs, exhibitions, investment and trade promotion conferences; introducing Huong Van Tea Cooperative's tea products to importers, distribution systems, supermarkets, retail chains, and e-commerce platforms in South Korea. Concurrently, they will research and develop modern distribution channels and expand export markets through the South Korean enterprise's international partner network.

Both parties also agreed to research the feasibility of applying advanced South Korean technologies in processing, preservation, packaging, and product quality management; organize training programs and expert exchanges to enhance management capacity, product development, brand building, international marketing, and digital transformation. Concurrently, they will explore investment opportunities to develop international-standard raw material areas, tea processing facilities, product introduction centers, tea culture experience centers, and projects related to the tea industry value chain in Thai Nguyen.

The MOU takes effect from the date of signing, for a period of 3 years, and serves as a basis for both parties to continue negotiations and implement specific cooperation programs and projects in the coming time.

Also within the framework of the program, delegates participated in a seminar and cultural exchange between Vietnam and South Korea on the theme of tea culture and tourism development. The activity was an opportunity for the parties to enhance experience exchange in preserving and promoting the value of tea culture, connect and develop experiential tourism, and open up many cooperation opportunities for trade promotion, investment, and the promotion of Thai Nguyen tea products to the international market.
