Implementing the Sustainable Business Support Program for the 2026 - 2030 period
On July 6, Comrade Nguyen Linh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, signed and issued Plan No. 303/KH-UBND to implement the Sustainable Business Support Program for the 2026 - 2030 period in the province. The Plan aims to concretize Decision No. 926/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, contributing to promoting the development of enterprises, cooperatives and business households in a green, inclusive and sustainable direction.

According to the Plan, the province strives to support about 350 enterprises, cooperatives and business households in meeting sustainable business criteria by 2030; and strives to support 1 typical successful model of sustainable business in order to spread and encourage enterprises to conduct sustainable business. The program prioritizes high-tech agricultural cooperatives and small and medium-sized enterprises in the high-tech industrial supply chain, while aiming to balance economic efficiency with social responsibility and environmental protection, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals and the commitment to net-zero (“0”) emissions by 2050.

The beneficiaries are private-sector enterprises, business households, cooperatives, unions of cooperatives, and cooperative groups implementing sustainable business models. Enterprises, business households and cooperatives engaged in sustainable business are supported when they meet one of the following conditions: Having obtained an award, certificate or certification at the international, national or provincial level, or an ISO certification, on green transformation, circular economy, the environment, application of the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards framework, inclusive business, sustainable business or social responsibility; being a social enterprise as prescribed by law; implementing a green project or a project that meets circularity criteria and applies the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) standards framework as prescribed by law; meeting the criteria for identifying sustainable business models published on the National Portal for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Support; or meeting the Framework of Criteria for Evaluating Sustainable Business Models.

The program focuses on developing an ecosystem to support sustainable business through communication and training activities, building a network of experts, developing digital platforms, and organizing forums to connect green finance and public-private cooperation. At the same time, it supports enterprises with consulting on building business models, management training, and the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, trade promotion, and the expansion of domestic and international markets.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned departments, sectors and the People's Committees of communes and wards to proactively carry out tasks according to their functions; the Department of Finance is the focal agency advising on budget allocation, and compiling and monitoring the implementation of the Program. Thai Nguyen Newspaper and Radio-Television, together with the Provincial Information Center, will step up communication so that enterprises, cooperatives and business households in the area can access and participate in the Program.
