According to a report by Management Board of Thai Nguyen Industrial Parks, the project covers an area of more than 499 hectares with a total investment of over VND 5,399 billion, with Viglacera Thai Nguyen Joint Stock Company as the investor. The project is being implemented in Phuc Thuan ward and Thanh Cong commune, affecting approximately 1,750 households, of which around 700 households must relocate, accounting for approximately 1,400 resettlement land plots.

To date, the investor is completing procedures related to planning, environmental impact assessment, and feasibility studies; the project is expected to break ground in September 2026. Site clearance work has completed surveys and documentation for nearly 292 hectares involving more than 900 households; the priority area of nearly 64 hectares required for the project groundbreaking is being actively processed for handover in July 2026.

Delegates speaking at the working session

At the working session, delegates focused their discussions on identifying difficulties and obstacles affecting the project’s implementation progress. Among these, resettlement arrangements are under considerable pressure due to high demand, while newly planned resettlement zones in Phuc Thuan ward and Thanh Cong commune are still in the planning stage. Additionally, the project involves the relocation of approximately 1,260 graves, yet no new cemetery has been established to meet the requirements for reburial and interment in accordance with regulations, which is affecting site clearance progress.
