Scene of the Press Conference
Thai Nguyen has favorable natural conditions for tea cultivation, with renowned growing areas and a tea-making tradition preserved through generations. From its advantages in soil and climate to accumulated expertise in cultivation, processing and the art of tea appreciation, Thai Nguyen tea has built a distinctive brand associated with the appellation “Thai Nguyen - Foremost Land of Renowned Tea”. More than a key agricultural product, tea embodies cultural values, indigenous knowledge and the identity of the people of the tea-growing region. Promoting these values alongside technological innovation, product quality improvement, market expansion and tourism development is opening up new directions for Thai Nguyen's tea industry.
In 2026, to mark the 195th anniversary of the establishment of Thai Nguyen Province (November 4, 1831 - November 4, 2026), the province will hold International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026 under the theme “Thai Nguyen - Foremost Land of Renowned Tea”, from October 30 to November 7, 2026. The Festival aims to honor the tea plant, tea growers, artisans, cooperatives and tea businesses; promote the Thai Nguyen Tea brand; and introduce the province's historical, cultural and economic values and tourism potential to domestic and international friends. It is also an opportunity to foster connections and cooperation in tea production, processing and consumption, technology transfer, trade promotion and green tourism development.
