The delegation inspected preparations at Vo Nguyen Giap Square, the central walking street space of Thai Nguyen Province in Phan Dinh Phung Ward, and the Tan Cuong Tea Cultural Space in Tan Cuong Commune. These are venues hosting important activities within the framework of the Festival, helping promote tea culture and introduce Thai Nguyen tea products to local residents and visitors.

During the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen The Manh requested that relevant departments, sectors, localities, and units focus on completing facilities and preparations for the Festival, especially the stage, sound, lighting, ceremonial decoration, and event spaces, ensuring progress, quality, aesthetics, and safety. At the same time, they must step up urban refurbishment and environmental sanitation, creating bright, green, clean, and beautiful landscapes along roads, in central areas, and at activity venues.

He also requested that the relevant authorities proactively develop and implement plans to ensure security and order, traffic safety, fire prevention and firefighting, and search and rescue; and strengthen coordination and deploy appropriate personnel to ensure safety for delegates, local residents, and visitors. Agencies and units must closely adhere to their assigned tasks, regularly review progress, and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles to avoid affecting the Festival organization plan.

As part of the working program, the delegation visited and held a working session with Tien Yen Tea and Community Tourism Cooperative in Tan Cuong Commune, learning about tea production and processing procedures and the experiential tourism development model. Currently, the Cooperative is developing tea production toward safe and organic practices, focusing on improving the quality of OCOP products; and combining tea production and processing with community tourism development through dining, accommodation, and experiential services. The Cooperative also participates in operating the tea cultural space, becoming one of the destinations on the Heritage Train journey.

Here, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that the Cooperative continue to promote the traditions, potential, and advantages of the Tan Cuong tea-growing area; focus on improving quality and increasing product value; and link tea production with community tourism development. This will help promote the Thai Nguyen tea brand, enhance the appeal of activities within the framework of the International Tea Festival - Thai Nguyen 2026, and boost local tourism and economic development.
