Leadership of Dong Phuc Commune People's Committee and representatives of households and Dong Phuc Shan Tuyet tea production groups receiving the Decision of Thai Nguyen Province People's Committee on recognizing Bang Phuc Shan Tuyet Tea Craft Village

According to the research results in the 2024 - 2025 period of the Northern Mountainous Agriculture and Foretry Science Institute, the whole Dong Phuc commune currently has 740 ancient Shan Tuyet tea trees distributed in 7/7 hamlets. In which, the Phieng Phung area has the highest density with more than 400 trees on an area of about 1.7 hectares. The tea trees have an average height of 5.3 m, a base diameter of about 19.2 cm and many trees have wide canopies and beautiful shapes, both yielding high-quality products and creating a unique ecological landscape. Especially, on December 8, 2025, the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment recognized the population of 12 Shan Tuyet tea trees in Dong Phuc as Vietnam Heritage Trees, affirming the outstanding biological, cultural and historical value of the tea area. In recent years, receiving the attention of all levels and sectors, along with the efforts of the Party committee, authorities and People, the profession of growing and processing Shan Tuyet tea has seen many positive development steps. Area, output and product quality are increasingly improved; production organization forms are step by step consolidated; and some products have affirmed their position in the market.

Speaking at the Announcement Ceremony, Comrade Trieu Quang Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Phuc Commune People's Committee emphasized: Bang Phuc Shan Tuyet tea is a typical product, closely associated with the lives and culture of the People through many generations. With the specific natural conditions of the high mountainous region, cool climate and suitable soil, the tea trees grow well, yielding a distinctive quality deeply imbued with local identity. The recognition of the craft village not only acknowledges and honors the labor achievements of local people but also creates momentum to develop rural trades in a sustainable direction. This is also an important premise for Dong Phuc to continue developing raw material areas, improving product quality, pushing production linkage and expanding the market. Thereby, step by step affirming the Bang Phuc Shan Tuyet tea brand, contributing to local economic development and improving the People's lives.
