According to statistical data, in the first three months of 2026, total tourist arrivals to Thai Nguyen reached 2,600,100, marking a notable increase over the same period last year, including 79,642 international visitors. Total tourism revenue was estimated at VND 3,604 billion. These impressive figures reflect the growing appeal of Thai Nguyen tourism and demonstrate the initial effectiveness of measures to develop tourism in a sustainable and professional direction.
These results were achieved thanks to the province's resolute direction in the synchronized implementation of tourism demand-stimulation measures and improvements to the quality of products and services. Key tourist sites and attractions continued to receive investment attention, with upgraded infrastructure, diversified visitor experiences, and better fulfillment of tourist needs. Tourism promotion and marketing were also intensified through flexible and varied approaches that effectively leveraged digital platforms, helping to spread the image of Thai Nguyen's land and people to domestic and international visitors.
Notably, distinctive tourism products linked to tea culture, eco-tourism, community-based experiences… continued to prove effective, creating a unique identity for Thai Nguyen tourism. Destinations such as Nui Coc Lake tourist area, specialty tea-growing regions, traditional craft villages… consistently maintained stable visitor numbers, especially on weekends and public holidays. Tourism service quality has also progressively improved. Accommodation facilities, restaurants, and travel agencies have focused on enhancing service quality and building a safe, welcoming tourism environment, helping to increase visitor satisfaction and the likelihood of return visits.
