The technology ensuring no smoke, no exhaust gas, no odor emission, no generation of ash, slag and wastewater, contributing to protecting the environment and climate change, invested by Asian Green Energy Joint Stock Company
At the Plant converting domestic and industrial solid waste into energy (Yen Dung ward) invested by Asian Green Energy Joint Stock Company, the Delegation learned about the model of converting domestic and industrial solid waste into energy. After 7 months of construction, the Plant has completed phase 1, with a treatment capacity of about 150 tons of waste/day. After selection, the waste is treated for odor right at the reception stage, dried and then put into a thermal modification system to create synthetic gas (Syngas), converted into clean fuels such as DME and methanol. In addition, this process also generates electricity, coal and construction materials. When operating stably, the plant can treat all domestic waste in the area without generating hazardous slag that needs to be landfilled.

Next, the Working Delegation went to survey the Bac Ninh Province High-Tech Solid Waste Treatment and Power Generation Plant. The project is invested by the Joint Venture of Thuan Thanh Environment JSC and JFE Engineering Corporation (Japan), with a total investment of about USD 74 million. The plant has a treatment capacity of 500 tons of waste/day and a power generation capacity reaching 13.5 MW; applying modern Japanese technology with a highly automated, closed-loop treatment process. Especially, the Plant operates according to the "4 no’s" criteria: No smoke, no need for sorting, no emission of leachate, no generation of ash and slag, contributing to reducing more than 40,000 tons of greenhouse gases each year.
