Of this total, retail sales of goods were estimated at VND 54,635.3 billion, accounting for 70.4% of total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue and rising 21.2% year-on-year; accommodation and food service revenue reached VND 7,533.2 billion, up 26.5%; travel service revenue reached VND 187.3 billion, up 24.3%; and other service revenue reached VND 15,266 billion, up 18.5%.

Notably, all 12 retail goods and service groups recorded year-on-year revenue growth. Several groups posted strong gains, including gasoline and oil products, up 52.8%, and repair services for automobiles, motorcycles, motorbikes, and other motor vehicles, up 44%. In addition, wood and construction materials rose 30.4%, while food and foodstuffs increased 13.1% year-on-year.

In August 2026 alone, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the province were estimated at VND 10.1 trillion, up 2.6% from the previous month and 26.7% year-on-year. Of this total, retail sales of goods reached VND 7,070.9 billion, up 2.3% from the previous month and 25.2% year-on-year; accommodation and food service revenue reached VND 1,018 billion, up 8% from the previous month and 41% year-on-year; travel service revenue reached VND 32.7 billion, up 0.9% from the previous month and 37.1% year-on-year; and other service revenue reached VND 2,020.7 billion, up 1.1% from the previous month and 25.5% year-on-year.

During the month, several retail groups also continued to record notable gains: fuel sales revenue rose 73% year-on-year; repair services for automobiles, motorcycles, motorbikes, and other motor vehicles increased 50%; wood and construction materials rose 43.9%; other goods increased 37.7%; household goods, appliances, and equipment rose 32.8%; and food staples and food products increased 10.6%.

These results were supported by consumer demand stimulus programs, value-added tax reduction policies implemented in accordance with regulations, and efforts by enterprises and production and business establishments to accelerate digital transformation and diversify online sales channels. These factors helped expand markets, optimize supply chains, and promote the consumption of goods and services.
