The Cau Truc Urban Area Social Housing Project, invested by Mass Housing Investment Joint Stock Company, is being implemented on an area of 1.9 hectares, comprising 4 social housing buildings and 1 commercial housing building that is 22 stories high. The project has a total investment of over VND 2,415 billion, expected to provide 1,707 social housing units and 420 commercial housing units; the implementation period is from Q2/2026 to the end of Q4/2029.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Trinh Xuan Truong affirmed that social housing development is a major policy of the Party and State, holding significant importance in ensuring social welfare, improving the quality of life for the People, and creating momentum for sustainable socio-economic development. Thai Nguyen identifies this as a key political task, focusing on decisive leadership to effectively implement the Government's Scheme to Invest in Building at least 1 Million Social Housing Units. According to the Government's Resolution No. 07/NQ-CP, for the 2025-2030 period, Thai Nguyen is assigned to complete 24,800 social housing units. However, Thai Nguyen aims to complete 60,000 social housing units by 2030, approximately 2.4 times the assigned target. By the end of June 2026, the entire province had completed 2,181 social housing units; specifically, 1,154 units were completed in 2025, exceeding the Government's target, and an additional 1,027 units were completed in the first six months of 2026.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee stated that, along with the Cau Truc Urban Area Social Housing Project, the province simultaneously commenced 5 social housing projects in Phan Dinh Phung, Van Xuan, Linh Son, and Bach Quang wards, with a total area of approximately 10.09 hectares, expected to provide nearly 5,980 units, and a total investment of over VND 7,500 billion. Notably, these projects will add 496 rental housing units in the province's administrative center, contributing to diversifying the social housing fund and meeting the housing needs of residents and workers.

The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the investor to mobilize maximum resources, organize construction in a methodical, well-planned manner, ensure project quality, implementation progress, labor safety, and environmental sanitation. Departments, agencies, and localities are to continue close coordination, promptly resolve difficulties, and strengthen management and supervision to ensure projects are implemented on schedule and in accordance with legal regulations.

The Phan Dinh Phung Ward Social Housing Project for Sale and Rent has a total investment capital of VND 712.98 billion, comprising 294 units for sale and 236 units for rent.

The Phan Dinh Phung 2 Ward Social Housing Project for Sale and Rent has a total investment capital of VND 718.217 billion, comprising 262 units for sale and 260 units for rent. The implementation period for both projects is from Q2/2026 to the end of Q2/2030.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh emphasized that the Party and State always pay attention to and issue many policies for social housing development; at the same time, they will continue to improve mechanisms and policies, creating a favorable legal framework for localities and businesses to effectively implement projects and help ensure social welfare while promoting economic development. The Deputy Minister requested Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee to continue decisive direction, ensuring project progress; and for departments and agencies to coordinate in promptly resolving procedural issues. The investor needs to apply modern technology, ensure project quality and progress according to the approved plan; and promptly disclose full project information so that people in need can easily access and register to buy houses.

Speaking at the Ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan emphasized that these are two key social housing development projects for the province in the administrative center area, contributing to supplementing housing supply and gradually forming a long-term rental housing fund in line with the directions of the Central Government and the province. He also shared positive signals regarding growth and investment attraction in the first six months of the year, as well as efforts in preparing for the groundbreaking and implementing key projects and works related to social housing, transportation, industry, and tourism... He stated that this is an important strategic shift for Thai Nguyen to achieve rapid and sustainable development in the coming time.

To achieve the plan of 60,000 social housing units by 2030, creating an abundant social housing and rental housing fund, especially for the two projects in Phan Dinh Phung ward, he requested the investor to focus resources, accelerate construction progress, strive to shorten the implementation time to 12 to 15 months, ensure project quality, and comply with regulations on construction, environment, fire prevention and fighting, and social housing policies. Departments, agencies, and localities are to continue to partner with the projects, promptly resolve difficulties, and strengthen management and supervision to ensure the Project is implemented in accordance with planning and law. He expressed his wish that the local People continue to support and create favorable conditions for the Project to be implemented safely and effectively.

The Social Housing Project under the Cao Ngan Housing Area Project is invested by the Joint Venture of VFS Joint Stock Company and An Huy Investment Joint Stock Company, with Song Cau Housing Development Co., Ltd. as the implementing unit. The project covers an area of 44,919.53 m² (equivalent to nearly 4.5 hectares), with a projected population of approximately 5,109 people, comprising social apartment housing and low-rise commercial terraced houses. Specifically, it is expected to build approximately 1,960 social apartment housing units for sale, rent, and rent-to-own; and to build the rough structure and complete the exterior architecture of 50 low-rise commercial terraced houses to serve the housing needs of the people. The total investment capital for the Project is over VND 2,116 billion, with an expected implementation period from Q2/2026 to Q2/2029.

Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Linh affirmed that upon completion, the Project will be of practical significance in meeting the housing needs of workers and laborers, and contributing to achieving Thai Nguyen Province's social housing development target as assigned by the Prime Minister by 2030. To ensure the project's progress, quality, safety, and effectiveness, he requested Linh Son ward and relevant departments and agencies to continue close coordination, provide full guidance on land, investment, construction, and environmental procedures; urge site clearance in accordance with regulations, on schedule, and in a public and transparent manner. The investor and contractors are to uphold their responsibilities, allocate sufficient resources, organize construction in a methodical, well-planned manner; strictly comply with technical regulations and standards; ensure labor safety, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation; and coordinate well with the authorities and the People in the Project area. The Construction, Home Affairs, Finance, and Banking sectors are to proactively implement mechanisms and policies according to the Housing Law 2023 and Decree 100/2024/ND-CP to enable low-income individuals and workers to access social housing at appropriate prices with transparent procedures. The business community is to continue to partner in investing in urban areas, social housing, and socio-technical infrastructure; and work with the province to strive to achieve the target assigned by the Government in the Social Housing Development Program for the 2021-2030 period.

The Van Xuan Social Housing Area is part of the Nam Thai - FECON Square City urban area, with FECON Pho Yen Joint Stock Company as the investor. According to the approved plan, the Project covers an area of approximately 2.1 hectares, with a total investment of over VND 1,223 billion, comprising about 910 social housing units and 247 commercial apartments, with an estimated population of about 2,670 people. In addition to residential buildings, the Project is oriented towards coordinated investment in technical infrastructure systems, internal transportation, green spaces, playgrounds, and community living areas, aiming to create a safe, convenient living environment that meets the needs of residents. The Project is expected to be implemented from Q2/2026 to Q3/2029.

The social housing project under Urban Area No. 2 Project, Bach Quang Ward, is invested by Win Ruby Investment Joint Stock Company, covering an area of approximately 4,997.36 m². The Project provides about 351 apartments with a total investment of over VND 316.5 billion. This is one of the large-scale social housing projects, making an important contribution to achieving the province's social housing development goals, and simultaneously concretizing the Government's Scheme "Investing in the construction of at least 1 million social housing units for low-income individuals and industrial park workers for the 2021-2030 period."
