Leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism reporting at the meeting

The Provincial People's Committee launched the Contest under Plan No. 389/KH-UBND dated August 28, 2026, to select a representative logo design reflecting the province's distinctive history, culture, people, natural environment, potential and development orientation. The selected logo will help establish a visual identity for the province and promote Thai Nguyen among residents, visitors and friends at home and abroad.

During the submission period from September 3 to September 20, 2026, the Contest attracted 168 entrants from 19 provinces and cities, who submitted 314 entries. Participants came from a range of fields, including artists, designers, graphic design teams and individuals with skills in artistic creation and design.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received, compiled and reviewed the application dossiers and submitted works, and carried out the tasks required for assessment and judging in accordance with regulations. Entries were considered for selection based on the Contest's criteria, with particular attention to how well they represented the province and their symbolic significance.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Duong Van Luong assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to prepare dossiers and documents for submission to the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee for its consideration and comments on outstanding logo designs that had passed the judging rounds. The designs must meet the criteria for symbolic meaning, creativity, aesthetic value and recognizability, while clearly reflecting the province's distinctive history, revolutionary traditions, culture, natural environment, people and development orientation. On that basis, the Organizing Committee will proceed with the next steps in accordance with regulations
