Rate of permanently constructed classrooms in the province reaches over 88%
Currently, the network of schools and classrooms across the province has been planned and arranged in a rational manner, with facilities invested in a synchronized way and gradually permanently constructed and modernized. The proportion of schools meeting national standards stands at 79.94%, while the rate of permanently constructed classrooms has reached 88.46%.

The province has conducted reviews and reorganized the school system, forming multi-level general education schools in line with local needs and actual conditions; adjusting class sizes appropriately; and consolidating satellite school sites on the principle of convenience for residents and suitability to the specific conditions of different areas and localities. At the same time, the province has encouraged investment in the construction and development of non-public preschool and general education schools, including schools with foreign investment. Investment has been completed for the construction of three new public high schools (Ly Nam De High school, Tuc Tranh High school and Doi Can High school); Dinh Hoa Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School (Phase 2) project has been completed; 2 new non-public high schools (Vo Nguyen Giap High school and Edison High school) have been established; the scale of Pac Nam Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School has been expanded; and facilities of Thai Nguyen Province Ethnic Minority Boarding Vocational Secondary School have been upgraded and completed.

The network of preschool and general education institutions now covers all communes and wards. The education system is diverse, ranging from preschool and general education to vocational and higher education, including public and private schools, boarding and semi-boarding schools, specialized schools and schools for students with disabilities, meeting the learning needs of various groups. To date, the province has 971 preschool, general education institutions and education centers. Particular attention has been paid to developing schools in areas with especially difficult socio-economic conditions, ethnic minority and mountainous areas, industrial zones and densely populated areas. At the same time, the preschool and general education system continues to be reorganized in line with local conditions, with the goal of ensuring equitable access to education.

In 2025, during the restructuring of the administrative apparatus, the province merged and consolidated colleges, vocational secondary schools, continuing education centers and vocational education – continuing education centers. At the commune level, preschools, primary schools and lower secondary schools were merged and consolidated in a rational, streamlined and more effective manner, reducing the number of satellite school sites to 663.

In the coming time, the province will continue to invest in school facilities, apply information technology, promote STEM/STEAM teaching methods and advance digital transformation in management, teaching and learning; ensure sufficient schools, classrooms and teaching equipment as required; and further promote the socialization of education, meeting the demands of the new development stage.
