Election preparation in the province implemented seriously and on schedule
On the morning of January 28, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee, presided over the Conference of the Steering Committee and the Election Commission for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels of Thai Nguyen province for the 2026–2031 term, aiming to assess the progress and implementation situation of election work in the province.

Overview of the Conference
According to reports, election preparation in the province has been implemented seriously, synchronously, in compliance with schedules and legal regulations. The Leadership, direction and administration work of the Provincial Party Committee, Election Steering Committee, Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Election Commission have been carried out proactively and promptly, ensuring the election process is deployed uniformly and effectively. Coordination among levels and sectors has been close, responsible, proactive and serious, contributing to ensuring key election milestones are implemented according to plan and regulations.
At the commune level, Party committees, People's Committees and Election Commissions of communes and wards have proactively built plans, assigned specific tasks to each member; regularly checked and urged progress and timely removed arising difficulties and obstacles, thereby ensuring contents and steps are deployed uniformly and smoothly from the provincial to the grassroots level.

Regarding the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly, Thai Nguyen province has 05 election units, electing 10 deputies. Regarding the election of deputies to the Provincial People's Council for the 2026–2031 term, the whole province has 29 election units with 60 deputies to be elected. Regarding the election of deputies to People's Councils of communes and wards, the whole province has 730 election units with a total of 1,906 deputies to be elected. Before December 10, 2025, the Standing Boards of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels presided over and coordinated with agencies and units to complete the first consultation conference to agree on the structure, composition and number of candidates for deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, ensuring structure, composition and quantity according to regulations.
At the Conference, delegates discussed and debated solutions to remove difficulties in election preparation organization; agreed on work contents to be deployed in the next period on schedule, ensuring the successful organization of the election in the province.

Delivering directive remarks at the Conference, Comrade Trinh Xuan Truong, Member of the Party Central Executive Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee, emphasized that to successfully implement the election, in the coming time, levels, sectors and localities need to strengthen leadership, direction, promote propaganda, supervision, ensure facilities serving the election and ensure safety in election areas... He requested Steering Committees and Election Commissions at all levels to continue implementing fully election work contents according to Central and provincial regulations, aiming to organize the election in the province successfully and lawfully; direct the deployment of election work ensuring plans, progress and close adherence to time milestones according to the plan of the National Election Council and the province. Commune-level Steering Committees and Election Commissions must control and perform well the contents of preparation work for the election in the area; ensure 100% of election teams have regular police and military forces to ensure security and order, supporting election teams in related tasks. Units and localities must perform well the work of resolving complaints and denunciations related to the election.
The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also provided specific instructions for each timeline and task under the provincial election plan and assigned clear responsibilities to relevant agencies and units, aiming to ensure the successful organization of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term in the province.
