One of the highlights of the exhibition was the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system serving the inspection and monitoring of power transmission and distribution lines. Combined with camera systems integrated with artificial intelligence (AI), UAVs enable fast and accurate inspection and monitoring of power lines and equipment, even when the lines are energized. This technology minimizes the need for power outages for manual inspections, thereby reducing outage duration and improving electricity service quality for customers.

In particular, the AI system is capable of automatic image processing, data analysis and early identification of potential risks such as violations of power grid safety corridors, insulation damage, defects in joints and line accessories and promptly sending warnings to operators and the control center. As a result, the power sector can proactively prevent incidents, minimize risks and enhance power supply reliability - an aspect that investors pay special attention to when selecting project locations.

Hotline robot arm equipment ensures construction safety and continuous power supply

In addition, robotic solutions for hotline construction also drew significant attention at the exhibition. Hotline robot arms and robots for cleaning and maintaining insulation enable work to be carried out on energized power lines without power cuts. The application of robots in hotline construction not only minimizes risks to workers and enhances production safety but also ensures continuous and uninterrupted electricity supply for customers.

For industrial parks, export processing zones and large investors, maintaining a stable and continuous power supply is a prerequisite for ensuring production and business activities. Therefore, technological solutions that reduce outage time, limit incidents and enhance grid stability are regarded as one of the important advantages of Thai Nguyen’s power infrastructure in attracting investment.

In the field of substations and electrical testing, Thai Nguyen Power Company introduced digital substation cabinets along with various specialized testing devices such as P0, Pk measurement devices for transformers; devices for measuring transformation ratios, power and determining transformer winding groups. These devices enable automated testing processes and accurate assessment of transformer technical conditions in accordance with Vietnamese and international standards, effectively supporting operation management and condition-based maintenance (CBM).

The application of digital substations and modern testing equipment not only improves equipment utilization efficiency and extends asset lifespan but also enhances power supply reliability, reduces incidents and lowers maintenance and repair costs. This is an inevitable trend in the modernization of the power grid, aligning with the objective of building a smart, flexible and sustainable power system.
